Cape Town International Airport (CPT) provides flight transportation to the residents and visitors of Cape Town. It is the third busiest airport in Africa and is located around 12 miles from the city of Cape Town.
This public airport is the hub for local airlines Mango and South African Express. It offers domestic and international flights to and from the city as well as direct flights from Johannesburg and Durban.
Cape Town is the second biggest city after the capital, Johannesburg, and some of South Africa s most famous sites can be found here.
Table Mountain is perhaps one of the most iconic symbols of modern South Africa and visitors can grab a cable car at the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway to the flat summit of this famous mountain, and if they re feeling really daring, they can also abseil back down it.
You can also dive into the shark-infested waters in Gansbaii and shark cage dive amongst the might Great White sharks that call this area home, or the Robben Island museum, formerly the prison that held Nelson Mandela for 18 years, it stands today as a symbol of hope and victory over Apartheid.
At the end of a long day, indulge in a glass or two of what the locals call, Karate Water . Sometimes called Kliipes and coke, it consists of the local brandy, Klipdrift and cola.
