We loved staying in the house, we felt very comfortable with all the comforts of home. The well supplied kitchen was appreciated as we cooked a lot of our own meals. The view was very nice and the area was quiet. The surrounding yard had habitat that was almost as good as the park and we saw more animals in the neighbourhood than anywhere else: cottontails, jackrabbits, quail, songbirds and roadrunners.
We were in close proximity to Joshua Tree park, which we visited often, for sunrises, sunsets and lots of hiking and rock scrambling.
The house was close enough to visit Palm Springs, Pioneertown, Salton Sea (Bombay Beach, Sonny Bono Wildlife Refuge) to name a few places.
We also appreciated the host’s understanding when we accidentally broke a couple of plates. The only downside for our visit was that we didn’t receive any feedback/insight from the host for known and lessor-known sites of interest in the area. We asked before we arrived and when we got there and received no response.
We would definitely consider staying there again.
