The house was spotlessly clean and organized. The kitchen had labels on all the drawers and cabinets, making it easy to find and put things away.The solar lights in front at night were helpful if we fogot to leave on the porch light; the deck has lights at night, as well.The view out back is beautiful and one of my children took a kayak out and enjoyed the river & cove. We had a fire in the firepit one morning and really enjoyed that!The only thing I had trouble with was finding the driveway! It might help to put a picture of the entrance to it with the white post signs on the website. It's obvious once you do it one time, but I went down the neighbor's drive the first time. That's just on me, I think!We really enjoyed the house and appreciated all of the little touches, like sparkling waters in the fridge and snack bags on the counter! Great house!

Really nice, well-stocked home. Host was quick to reply and very accommodating; a lot of thought is put into this home as a place to stay. Waterfront location is quiet and peaceful. I would love a little nicer bedding (personal preference, cotton bedding is better) and a fee more towels and washcloths would be needed if we had more than 6 people. Overall, one of my favorite staycation experiences!

The home is lovely and well kept. There is plenty of room for the whole family. The kitchen is well stocked, and the downstairs has plenty of games for children. The cove is peaceful but has quick access to the river. Everyone had a great weekend.

We had a wonderful time,we enjoyed fishing off the dock, lounging in the large float provided for us and toasting marshmallows over the fire! We had a great time cooking out on the large enough deck for all of us! The house had plenty of room for the enire family and the decor was beautiful! We played games after the little ones went to bed in the evening. We had peace and quiet with deer, geese and landscaping that was picture perfect! Yet we were close to town to enjoy shopping and the restaurants. Downstairs had more entertainment with pingpong and childrens books and toys. Laundry was also great to have.Only suggestions would be to have "Lake" towels for the guests. And we were unable to find a can opener. Nothing to complain about!

Wonderful stay in Weems!

My family absolutely loved our stay. Everything was extremely clean and I am a clean freak. The space was laid out beautifully, with plenty of room for our family of four. The deck was perfectly situated with a view of the creek. The dock and kayaks were wonderful. Comfy beds and wonderfully stocked kitchen. Two thumbs up!

Relaxing in Beautiful Northern Neck

This property is beautiful. We watched Canadian geese one morning on the water from the deck. We had our coffee on the deck several mornings just listening to the birds. It was so relaxing. We had a great time.

Relaxing stay

We loved staying at Ashley’s. It was so peaceful on the water. We didn’t want to leave the house. We loved that it was so well equipped. We enjoyed the fishing rod and kayaks also. Great place!

Wonderful rental

This is one of the best rental homes I’ve ever had! Good location for exploring the area. Found a nice beach and fun fishing spot. The house as clean, well equipped, everything labeled, responsive host. You didn’t have to scramble to find paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, etc- it was included in ample supply. Everything so organized! Just perfect. Kids loved the outdoor amenities including the tree swing.

Extremely Clean Riverfront Property

Ashley left snacks for us along with a beautiful handwritten welcome note. The house is huge and well maintained. Coffe maker, electric skillet, blender, spices etc in the fully stocked kitchen. Quiet neighborhood. Great stay.

Open living space and great water views

We really enjoyed our stay. We liked the open living, dining and kitchen space. Labels were used to identify specific items throughout the house. House was spacious and very clean with towels and sheets being good quality. My 99 year old mom joined my two brothers and spouses for a birthday celebration weekend. Bathrooms were too small for a wheelchair but with use of my mom’s walker she was able to navigate the bathrooms. We brought our own portable ramps that allowed easy access to the main floor for my mom. Great weekend!

Great house and place to bring the family too

The owner really thought of Everything… anytime I had thought I forgot something I was able to easily find it in the house. The home was very tidy and beautifully decorated and laid out. Everything in the kitchen is clearly labeled making cooking in a different kitchen a breeze. We really enjoyed our time by the water. We made some great memories on this trip. If staying at this house with children of any age I strongly suggest going to compass entertainment which is 6 min from this house.

Ideal River House

We enjoyed our stay so much! The house was in a perfect location and had everything you could want! Beautiful river views and the house was just right for us. Also special amenities we weren’t expecting were included. Definitely recommend a stay here for anyone wanting a relaxing vacation!

Weekend getaway

Amazing little house on the river, pictures don’t do the house justice! It is beautiful and clean and every detail was thought of down to labeling where to find things in the kitchen! We loves the kayaks and fishing off the pier & catching crabs in the crab pot. The kids had a blast as the local compass entertainment center. We will definitely return for another trip in the future!

Perfect spot

We rented this property for family members coming to a family reunion. They loved it. Every detail was perfectly executed with lots of notes and labels around the house to make finding things and returning them to their right spot easy. There were thougthful additions like a welcome basket and note. The location is wonderful, right on Carter's Creek with a great deck and kayaks available to use. It was perfect for our family!

Spring Break Trip

The house was lovely. Easy check in. House was very clean. There was plenty of room for the entire family. The kids loved fishing off the pier. We could not keep them out of the two kayaks that were provided. Evenings at the fire pit were great. My younger grandkids loved all the toys and games that were downstairs. Overall, it was a great trip.

House in Weems

We had a lovely time staying in this beautifully renovated home right on a canal, kayaking was a great experience! Kitchen had everything we needed, very well stocked home. Owners were great, responsive and very kind. Only suggestion I have is to install a railing all the way down stairway leading to basement, would make it much safer...
