The cabin was fantastic! Everything was clean when we arrived, and we had everything we needed for the week. The host was helpful with the few questions we had! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone else!

Pleasantly Surprised/Impressed!!

We were a tad unsure if we should book this property because it looked a little dated from the pictures on VRBO. And although the home is older, it is extremely cozy, clean and very well taken care of. The biggest perks for us were the Tesla Electric vehicle Charger and dog friendly. But also, the home had anything and everything we could possibly want/need during our stay for adults and children. The home was so clean (my biggest demand when staying somewhere), the beds were comfortable, heater kept the home plenty warm in the below freezing temps. The home offered books, games, fully furnished kitchen, indoor fireplace, two outdoor fire pits, wood, a gas grill, covered portico for your vehicle to keep it out of the snow. The entire front side of the home (the living room and master bedroom) have huge sliding glass doors which give you an uninterrupted view of the beautiful snowy property. We had an amazing time in Maggie Valley and it was wonderful to have a comfortable/cozy home to stay in.

Nice but ...

There was going to be 4 of us staying at the house but, at the last moment the other couple had a change of plans for someone to watch their therapy dog, a small dog. We hadn't made arrangements for the dog at the property in advance so, they got a motel room nearby. The first night we noticed we had no hot water. I emailed the owner who got an electrician out the next evening. After 2 hours he had fixed the issue. The electrician stated that wiring in the house should be gone thru because the wiring ran everywhere and we had noticed a lot of switches that did nothing. An hour after he left we noticed that the air-conditioning compressor had stopped working. We were already on our to dinner with our friends and the temps were cool enough at night to sleep with just the fan on. I did notify the owner about this an he stated he would get someone to look at it. We spent most of our time with our friends at their motel because we could not have their dog over, no hot water then no ac. If someone had all of the wiring in the house fixed it would be a great place but, the non-refundable animal fee was too much to ask.
