Bright English basement

We didnt really need to open the blinds (but could have) as this place was full of light in the front rooms during the day. It was clean and had enough space for us to relax on a couch in front of the tv after a long day of walking. Directions are clearly posted all over. We had a great stay & hope to be back.

Police Week Hideaway

Needed to be close by as support for police week, needed a quiet escape in the evening and this was perfect. Lots of colorful eateries and little markets. Come and enjoy.

They ghosted me

I never stayed at the apartment. I reserved this place in December 2024. I texted them a question 2 days prior to arriving in DC. I didn’t hear anything. That’s should have been the first red flag. But I figured they were busy and it was a Friday evening. I arrived in DC via plane and still haven’t received any info about access codes. I started calling and texting the phone associated with the VRBO account. I also was messaging through VRBO. I heard nothing. Not knowing what to do, I went to the apartment in the hopes there would be a note. Not conventional but whatever. Nothing. I realized I needed to find another place to stay. My husband and I started calling hotels in the area, on the side walk, with our luggage. The fourth hotel called had availability. Unfortunately, I had reserved groceries online at a grocery close to the apartment. Some were frozen foods. There was no freezer at the hotel. Anyway, I received a message via VRBO hours later that they apologized for this and our money was refunded. Their VRBO site was down and they couldn’t access their reservations. It was a pretty rotten situation. I would make sure you have phone numbers or the access code days prior to your trip if you decide to use this VRBO.

A Great Find

Perfectly placed for our stay visiting family in DC, the apartment met all our expectations, with a comfortable bed and plenty of storage. It was very well equipped for 2 people, with nice touches such as shampoo, conditioner and soap, dish soap, etc. Very clear check-in and check-out instructions from host Janine.

Great spot!

We enjoyed our stay! The property was clean and the bed was comfortable. Only slight issue we encountered was parking. Get there early or you will be parking and walking from far away! The host was nice and very helpful. A+ experience!

As advertised however…

Dishwasher and disposal were not working. Likely a circuit breaker which was inaccessible. People directly upstairs had 2 children who ran and stomped at all hours up to and including midnight. It was ridiculous!

A perfect spot new central Adams Morgan

This is a clean, convenient spot in a quiet neighborhood managed by an extremely helpful owner. I will stay again the next time I visit the area. Close (half a blcok) to a grocery store and a few hundred yards to many dining options in Adams Morgan. A gem of a place.

Clean, comfortable and convenient

Sorry it took so long to review! We stayed here in April when we were in DC for a conference at the Omni Hotel, a nice 10 or 15 minute walk from this apartment. The place is sweet and communication is good -- there are clear check in and check out procedures and notes to explain things. The neighborhood is lovely and the Harris Teeter supermarket is very close. Some of the remodel work in the place was clearly DIY and could use some finishing touches, and the closet was unusable since it was full of items being stored by the owner, but these were minor annoyances. In general, it was clean, comfortable and convenient!

Long weekend stay

This property was great! It was just me staying there to visit some friends and family and I was so cozy in this little apartment. It was close to everything so I didn't have to rent a car I just wondered everywhere. It was well lit when coming back at night as well! Would definitely stay here again! Thanks!

Great DC visit

We enjoyed our stay. Great area with grocery store and fun restaurants within a walk. Place was comfy and clean and a perfect place to relax after trekking to the DC sites. We don’t mind driving into the city but there is a metro station in next town.( if you have a car better be a small one- parking is a challenge by the apartment but we did just fine)

Great apartment, great location

This apartment was perfect for our quick getaway - cute, clean, comfortable, reasonably priced, and conveniently located in a lovely neighborhood. We walked everywhere and loved being close to grocery and restaurants. We had everything we needed and Janine was a very helpful and responsive host. I especially appreciated the shower water pressure, comfortable bed and soft bedding, and the choice of coffee and teas. The upstairs folks were a little loud one night, but it wasn't a huge issue for me. I used the provided noise machine and was fine. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location

In the perfect spot a block from my daughter. Nice to have a desk and washer/dryer. I don't know why people complained about sticky notes. They helped! I would have liked a broom to sweep away the stinky ginko fruit outside the door. Lots of room for a small place. I'll stay again.
