Amazing Property

In town to celebrate my uncle's 100th birthday. We had 2 families With kids/ grandchild and this home was perfect! Plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms for everyone and several areas to just hang out, relax & play. We walked just 2 short blocks to an amazing Italian restaurant and bar. A few more blocks and you are in the heart of old town, so much fun! Host was attentive and always available. Could not have had a better stay at this awesome property.

Fabulous!

The property was immaculate, close to the Metro blue/yellow line, and well laid-out for all ages. The owner could not have been nicer or more attentive to the few questions we had. We all agreed that we could have just spent time in the house if we hadn’t had such great access to downtown DC,!!

Great place for a family.

The home was perfect. lots of beds. Very clean very functional. Close to downtown Alexandria. 2 parking spots. We loved it. 4 floors so kids had fun and not on top of each other.

Exceptional Hospitality Extended

Our group of multi-racial friends, couples and two singles, ranging in age 50 to almost 80, were blessed by the hospitality and comfort we found in this home. The space was perfect for our group where 4 couples shared a bathroom with another couple, 2 couples had their own and there was a bath and a half extra! In addition to the space in the house we were delighted to find a bedroom and bath over the garage. The location was ideal . . . walking distance to the Metro and Bob and Edith's Diner, near the Metro station, provided a couple of quick and easy meals for us. We also took advantage of the trolley in Alexandria and enjoyed our King Street visit. Taking the Metro was a new experience for us Floridians, but proved to be a perfect source of transportation for us. We used a Bounce app to find an ideal location to store our luggage after we checked out, which was 4 hours before we needed to go to the airport. Our group, which was formed to study Biblical Justice, gained much insight from our visits to the African American Museum and the Bible Museum. Our host, Uche, could not have been more attentive! He provided excellent information about the home and the area . . . above and beyond anything I have experienced through VRBO. We communicated daily and he was answering questions before I even had a chance to ask!

Perfect for large group

I booked this house so my mom, my family and 2 of my siblings and their families could have a place to spend time together while we attended our youngest brother’s military promotion. The location was perfect. The memories we made hanging out and reminiscing in the large family room and kitchen after the ceremony was priceless . Awesome set up of bedrooms and baths! We highly recommend this lovely place!!!

Celebration of life

Our trip to the DC area was for a service at Arlington . Our family was looking for the perfect location where we could all stay together but each have our own space plus walking distance to metro and Old Town. This property and our host did not disappoint! The perfect property made for the perfect celebration! Definitely recommend for your travels !

Retraction of Host Offer to Recompense

Great property, but unfortunately during our stay a significant leak developed in a 2nd floor bathroom that ran through to the living room through the ceiling. The property manager Uche, instructed us not to use that bathroom or the living room until maintenance could repair, which did not occur until the very end of our stay. This significantly reduced any main gathering area to crushing into the eat-in kitchen instead (we were fourteen guests), and also displacing four people from their designated bathroom to double up in the other bathrooms...not ideal when a large family is trying to get ready for a significant family event. Additionally and without prior notice, no street parking was allowed along the street in front of the house due to scheduled city maintenance. All this is understandable that things happen and adjustments need to be made, which we were happy to do so given that Uche was being very responsive under the circumstances. However, my issue arises with the fact that although it was Uche, who readily offered to "make adjustments to our booking charges" due to the inconveniences, it was also Uche who at the end of our communication, promptly informed me that he was now "unable to make adjustments to your booking charges."

Great DC vacation spot

Stayed in the house with our whole family and had a wonderful time. It’s remarkably spacious, lots of private rooms and bathrooms, making it a great space for extended family to stay together. Super close to the metro, and walkable to a park, coffee, and cafes. This was just a wonderful spot in a safe, cute neighborhood. Uche, our host, was super accommodating and helpful as well. Would definitely stay here again!

The host was communicative helpful and timely responses. The house was beautiful with a beautiful kitchen. We had a chef make us dinner there. The rooms were plenty and the living room in basement was perfect for movie night. Highly recommended. A+
