The staff was friendly and helpful, especially at the end of our 3-night stay by arranging our early morning taxi to the airport. The room was clean and large with a table and two chairs, and a king-sized bed. The hotel is right on the main square (el zocalo) so we could go out and hear live music and see dances. Unfortunately, as with many old buildings, there was an awful smell of the sewer emanating from the bathroom. It seemed to be strongest in the morning. But, short of knocking the beautiful hotel down and rebuilding, there is probably very little that be done to improve the smell.

Good hotel. GREAT Location except for the music out front. But it didnt bother me much. Room had a lot of space. But, if you have respiratory issues shud reconsider. Our room had mold. But as experiences go. I was comfortable. Thanks Gran hotel Diligencias:)

Average Hotel, but great location

Room was clean but worn. Okay for overnight stay which is what I utilized it for. The lobby was clean, but the carpets in the room floors should be replaced and were not vacuumed. Outside bar was good. I would stay there again because I liked the location in the heart of the city; will look for other accommodations also.

The property has an understated charm of years past. I’ve stayed there numerous times. Unfortunately, this time the room was disgustingly worn and dirty. We were in room 411 and it needed a deep cleaning. The bathroom was grotesque! I was hesitant to even shower. I hope, improvements are forthcoming to bring back the charm it once had!
