I rented two homes through Sunny Days management last week (for my fiancé (and our dogs) and my aunt, uncle, and cousins traveling from out of state and central California.
This cottage is quaint, light and bright. We loved the space inside and out on the back patio.
There were no issues with the house. The only issue is that I don’t think some of the neighbors are happy to have a short-term rental on their street. When my aunt and uncle arrived, there were three women in the driveway. As soon as my aunt opened the car door, a woman bombarded her with questions: do you own this place? Are you the new owners? Is this on VRBO? I tried to look it up in VRBO but it says no longer available…etc.
When she noticed that my aunt (who travelled from Georgia) looked like a deer in headlights and had no clue what was going on, the woman backed off and left the premises.
Later, the next day five of us were on the back patio, chatting, laughing, and taking tar off our feet (from the beach) I received a message from the rental management saying there was a noise complaint. Mind you, it was 4 o’clock in the afternoon and the five of us on the patio are between the ages of 45-65 (well past our “whooping’ it up” years). We had no music on, no party was happening, we were just holding a conversation (with some laughter and some tears as we haven’t seen each other in about 20 years).
Anyway, the management (I think) handled it well. Because of them, I would rent again.
