The property is undergoing major renovations. The parking lot is temporarily reduced in size because there are storage containers occupying much of the lot. All of the spots for guests were occupied so we parked at Applebee’s, which is right in front of the hotel. The first floor was undergoing renovations so there wasn’t much to the lobby. Our room was still undergoing renovations and didn’t have a couch. The hot and cold faucets were reversed.
However, in spite of the renovations, it’s a very nice property and I look forward to returning after the renovations are completed.
I especially liked the built-in luggage racks on either side of the room. We usually stay at Hampton Inn for our sleep & fly, but for some reason our return night was $350 instead of $150 or so. The location of Hampton Inn is quieter and has breakfast included, but we will return to the DoubleTree depending on the price compared to Hampton Inn. Also, the coffee, both the coffee in the machine in the room, and the coffee in the lobby, is better than Hampton Inn’s was last week, which has declined in quality.
I interacted with two front desk staff and one housekeeper. Everyone is very helpful and friendly.
