So this is a modestly priced (for the time/location) rental and one must curb expectations. LOCATION: v conveniently located. Be aware that the road 30-ft ft in front of the house is @ 55 mph. Kids, animals, drunks beware! There are homes across the street, meaning no view of lake. LOT: spacious, clean garage plus ample driveway room for more cars. No real backyard. Front yard abuts the street (see above). CLEANLINESS: pretty good.APPOINTMENTS: Kitchen is well stocked with pots/pans, and adequately stocked with silverware/glasses for a party of 6 adults. Furnishings are clearly old and or inexpensive; designed for a flipped or rental home; not what one would buy for themselves. Beds sufficiently comfy. Nice master bath is more than adequate. Window has no screen on the window but opens fine. Towel hook next to the MBR vanity is wobbly and will fall off soon (I FORGOT to tell the host). LR has large wall mounter TV with lots of channels and good service. Full sized washer/dryer, game rooms in basement; which is clean. HOST: responsive to queries and requests. I don't do many VRBOs so I have little for comparison. But i/we were a bit taken back by written statement within the home that, before departure, WE were responsible for collecting all trash and rolling trash can to the street; stripping beds, taking sheets to the basement, and starting first load of wash; filling the dishwasher of all dirty dishes (ok, maybe not so much this one). Is this the norm?
