We really liked the shift manager. Regretfully, I can’t remember his name. We arrived around 8 PM with several other people who were not in our party. He helped several of us with the Parking ticket machine that was malfunctioning. He repeatedly reminded us if we need anything. He was available. Very good customer service!

I like to to stay at privately or small business owned hotels. I wish I could say it was excellent. I take that it’s an old historic structure but the room was rather dirty. Furnitures were dusty and dirty. Towels had stains. These things don’t take a lot of effort to make a difference. Staff were friendly and polite. It wasn’t noise despite being next to a pub. Bed was on a hard side but it was’t too big of a problem for me. Could drop “Boutique.”

Twin bed room/ beds springy. Bathroom was clean. Rug??keep your shoes on! Windows have no screens so impossible to keep open. AC was like having an airplane jet motor in the room. Venetian blinds & curtain very worn & tattered. Poorly laid out beds. Charming building though!

There was a really cool antique vibe to the hotel. The staff at check in and check out were incredibly friendly and helpful. The server we had at breakfast with the rainbow earrings was delightful. Loved that it was so close to the transit station. Overall it was a good experience.

Great location for exploring Toronto downtown, near Spadina metro station. However, Super Big Madison pub next door open Saturday night til 2am Sunday mornings, 3am before gets quiet again... Sunday through Thursday nights probably better...

This place was great. My husband and i stayed here 3 nights for a music festival. It was very fun to be able to walk all over town, very convenient. We liked the style of the hotel. It has its own thing going on, it reminds me of a rambling b and b from another time. The building is old and cool. I disagree with reviews about how the place needs renovation. I hope to come back and find it as it is now. It is not boring, like most places anymore. It was clean. The bed was super comfortable. The staff was very nice. We felt safe here too, despite there being a lot of acruon going on. There is a bar right next to the hotel, and it got loud fri and sat, but sunday it was quiet. I can understand this might be a problem for some people but we thought it added to the fun. The parking is convenient too. Good price. You just pay the meter for the length of your stay. We plan on staying here again. Great hotel if you don't demand total silence.

Beautiful wood work on staircase and on the entrance walls. Beautiful artwork. Clean room. The young lady working at front desk deserves a raise. So helpful and friendly. I will definitely come back.

Always a great stay at the Madison. Its right in the middle of all the nearby action whether its restaurants, bars, shopping or otherwise. Only a few seconds from the subway that will take you anywhere, and if youre not feeling adventurous you can wander into the connected Madison Pub for food and drinks. Its really the perfect spot when staying over in Toronto.

Absolutely perfect for a short walk back from Lee’s Palace! Beware the upstairs bar if you’re sensitive to noise—convenient for us, however. Even though it was end of school year and a bit rowdy it couldn’t stand up to my white noise machine. Huge parking lot at rear of building was also rather convenient. Having to walk around through the front at night not as convenient but certainly more secure. I will definitely keep in mind for future trips!
