A great old hotel / pub with links to the TV show Dad's Army. The old part is atmosphric while the new part is comfy and modern. Great location in centre of town overlooking the river.

I would like My room clean and tidy when I return from where I’m going out to Norwich, I would like my room tidy when I get back and the bathroom clean and I believe that The Hotel needs a reverb and new carpets and new bathroom suites apart from that the staff are amazing. I couldn’t fault him at all the food was fantastic and the staff are very friendly.

Having stayed a few years ago and been satisfied, this time it's plain to see that this hotel needs revamping and some money spent on it, i thought everything was tired, although not the hotels fault the locals were not the best type if you know what i mean, the location has worsened since my last visit, Thetford seemed very run down so no more visits from me.

To be fair the building has great potential but needs a bit ( lot) of TLC & money to upgrade rooms & public areas. The room was kept as clean as it could be but was tired.
