Leaving a review to let Travellers know that this place deserves a better rating and reviews than what some Travellers have left. We had a great stay! The property is older and could use some upgrades but it was exactly suited for our stay. Property is right on a canal where you can see Tarpon, Manatees and other fish, if you have a boat you can dock right there. Our stay was quiet and peaceful and housekeeping took care of any needs we had. Its within walking distance of a few restaurants, dive shop, bait shop, snorkel tour. I would recommend Lido73, Mar Bar and Old Tavernier restaurants all within walking distance. Just know it not the 4 seasons just and older property that will suit your needs. I would definitely come stay again.

First of all it was a $200 hold on my card. Which was way too much. Next, the attendant at the desk told us our room was in the north section and on the second floor. It was actually on the first floor behind the building facing the canal. We spent a good amount of time just looking for our room. Then, the room smelled a little moldy. The next door room guests were super loud and pounding on the walls late into the night. I don’t know what they were doing but it was very disruptive to our sleep. Besides that the stay was fine. There’s a lot of construction in that area. Will not be returning anytime soon.

Last year the room i had was amazing! This year i book the same package and i got a room 1/3rd the size, it was like trying to sleep in a closet! I dont understand how there is a room that jurastically different from the one i had last year! And it wasnt a first come first served basis cause i went to go out my room at 9 at night and couldnt open my doorbecause there were groups of people standing in front of it waiting for keys to get into their room! They also forgot to mention the night construction going on 50 ft out front of our room and hotel! The only upside is they refunded me my money after i had to go elsewhere! Its a great place dont get me wrong, but i feel like they shafted me good this year, that wasnt a room that was a closet they turned into a room! I probably wont be back after that! I like transperancy and i feel they could of gave us a heads up on conditions before hand!

If you're looking for a super nice place to stay this is NOT that. It's an older hotel that serves It's purpose. Our room was very clean, AC was great, the bed & pillows are not comfortable but worked. The staff was extremely friendly. I would stay here again for a quick 2 night trip.

Water-facing room is the only redeeming quality - and it's lovely. Front desk open very limited hours. The bed is uncomfortable, bedding cheap. Room smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals or air freshener. And, worst of all, on second night they gave another family keys to our room, and no one answered the emergency phone number.

Both rooms we booked had an overwhelming smell of air freshener or cleaning products. Beds were uncomfortable. The worst problem, though, was that on our second night, we found that another family had been given keys to our room and entered it. The front desk is not staffed after 5 pm, and no one answered the phone at the emergency number. There were at least three other families trying to check in and having difficulty with the after-hours lockbox, and with no response from the emergency number. Closing the front desk at 5 pm on a weekend evening is unacceptable.

Outside my room was table and chairs where you can sit and enjoy watching the boat go by. Housekeeping was superb My room was spotless. There wasn’t any dust or dirt in any corner. The bathrooms were immaculate. I highly recommend this hotel. They also do not charge the resort fee that all the hotels charge in Islamorada.

Room was filthy. Went to shower and turned on the water and the bottom of the shower filled up with bubbles from someone else’s shower. I moved the lamps on the nightstands and it was like they had never been moved, literally stuck to the nightstand. There was no tv when we checked in. The staff brought one but didn’t hook it up. We hooked it up and the direct tv wouldn’t connect. Then I tried to use the WiFi on my computer and the WiFi wouldn’t connect. The pictures are a complete catfish to get you to this place. The “ice box” was a garage deep freezer that someone had put water bottles and a bottle of liquor in. Needless to say I am glad to be out of there.
