Reception was welcoming and informative. The outside thermal pools were of varying temperatures and the seating comfortable. We were told it was an adult only area however we could hear children and mowing in the gardens next door which spoilt the ambience. Our private thermal pool was hot and should have been a lovely experience. However we could hear conversations from the neighbouring rooms. Woken at night by footsteps above and showers running.

The room was very clean and had nice amenities, and the staff were friendly. The shower had fantastic water pressure, but it paled in comparison to the geothermal tub in the next room! The private geothermal pool (which also had a geothermal shower) was a perfect, romantic way to unwind after a long drive from Auckland. The fact that the room rate also includes access to the larger public pools is also a big plus (although we were too busy to visit those).

Lovely location by the lake. Room was good, however it depends on neighbours as the sound travels a lot as do the sound from the plumbing. It was noisy during the evening but thankfully very quiet overnight. We were on the ground floor so had noise from above as well, I suspect that there’s less noise if you’re on the second floor? Staff extremely friendly and the thermal baths were much appreciated after travelling.

Carol greeted me like I was a friend! The carpeting looked brand new, the room was spotless, the coffee, tea & hot chocolate selections were excellent! There was a kettle, a French press for coffee making, a microwave & kitchen sink + dish soap. The shower was excellent & bathroom very clean! My view of Lake Taupo was picture perfect. The thermal spas were a welcomed bonus! Everything was exceptional!

We received a very warm welcome at reception. Our room was very modern with plenty of sockets including both sides of the bed. We had the most powerful and invigorating shower in the room with plenty of hot water. The thermal pools were very relaxing and it was great that there were no children.
