Yes the staff was nice and helpful. They have a little kitchen but no exhaust. The beds were nice and comfortable. The shower was slippery it's dangerous.

Property location is excellent with a pool and hut tub in good condition. Bedrooms are a good size and layout is well appointed. Bear in mind that the building itself is old- walls are thin, floors and staircase creaky and very uncomfortable beds. We spent the majority of the time out exploring Taupo and used the rooms as a base to rest and refresh.

The greeting from staff and free room upgrade was very welcoming and appreciated. The rooms are very tired as is the general surrounds of the facility. The couch in our room was covered in stains and the upper landing wall was thick with dust. Two pieces of artwork were peeling and a strange Rhinoceros seat? in the lounge was very very dirty. The kitchen, bedding and bathroom were clean though. Access to the rooms and parking at the facility are not user friendly. The location was lovely looking out over the water and very close to town.

We booked the motel late after being detoured. The hotel staff were so accommodaitng as we dodnt check in until well after 10pm. They made check in and out seamless. Great room.

Le Chalet Suisse was a lovely place to stay! The room was clean and cozy, with comfortable bed that made for a great night’s sleep. It’s also in a perfect location — just a short walk to town, shops, and restaurants. Friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere made the stay even better. Would definitely come back!

We had a street view room however really enjoyed our stay due to the location and close proximity to dining options. Room is spacious, bed is comfortable and was clean on arrival. Although we had a street view room and our room was next to the entrance driveway (Room 14) we still found the room quiet and blinds gave privacy. We enjoyed our stay and will stay again next time we visit Taupo.
