Great location and friendly staff, but the room was very small (no bedside table on one side and had to put the kettle on the floor to use it). I used the top of the wardrobe to store one suitcase but when I retrieved it a load of dust came down too.

From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive — they genuinely made me feel at home throughout my visit. It’s clear that excellent customer service is a real priority here, something many guests consistently mention in their feedback online. My room was comfortable and clean, with a bed that was exceptionally pleasant to sleep in. The choice of pillows made it easy to find just the right level of comfort, which was a real plus after long days of travel. Like other guests, I found the room cosy and well-appointed for a restful night’s sleep. While I was there, I appreciated how helpful the team was with local tips and making sure everything was taken care of — a feature that many reviewers also highlight as a standout aspect of this hotel. Service was fantastic. Only thing that could be improved upon is that our shower didn't have a door or curtain, so water often leaked onto the bathroom floor. Overall a really smooth check-in and check-out process 🙂

I had a later check-in and communicated this to them, which they confirmed was okay. I wish they had communicated back that the door was locked and would’ve had someone come get it—instead I was left outside for several minutes while they didn’t pick up the phone. The hotel was also not accessible. To enter the building, there are steps required. To access the fifth floor, you’ll need to take stairs from the fourth. I was clearly struggling with my luggage and asked about accessibility to the fifth floor, but the staff just dismissed it and walked away from me. Their indifference was disappointing.

This hotel is basically serviced rooms. There is no option to dine here. The rooms were clean and spacious and the staff were excellent. Each room has tea & coffee making facilities with a small fridge which I found very useful.

The staff at this hotel is amazing, always trying to solve all the numerous issues this hotel has. The rooms are dark, infested with cockroaches, and the air conditioning leaks water throughout the night. Additionally, all rooms are noisy, particularly those adjacent to the reception area. The most concerning aspect is the security breach that allows outsiders to enter the hotel.

Very old building with awkard access. No 24/7 reception. You need to download an access app or enter a long code into a circular keypad to enter. I had to return to reception to be shown how to make the key pad work after checking in. The room was freezing, im assuming this was to combat the wet mouldy carpet. One pain of window glass was broken like it belonged in a final destination movie. Triangle shard pointing downwards. Mould was in the grout outside the wet area of the bathroom and there was some sort of smear/growth besides the toilet at the towel rack. Towel rack was loose and toilet seat unattached. The TV had such a bright standby light that i had to throw a towel over it to fall asleep. The light to the bathroom was also hiden behind the wardrobe. Next time i will spend the extra $20 a night to stay at the holiday in. Location was good for my needs.

Both my friend and I were very happy with our stay. Staff were all so kind, helpful and professional. We were able to leave our bags until check in and then after check out until in the evening. The room was small and simple but was clean and had everything we needed, including good aircon, a comfortable bed, mini fridge and a shower with good pressure. the location was super convenient being so close to kings cross station, because of this there was some outside noise at night but it wasn’t enough to bother us, inside the hotel guests respected they needed to be quiet at night, so we still slept really well both nights. The front door to the hotel is locked before 9 am and after 3 pm so we felt safe here. Our only complaints were the only hand soap was inside the shower and that there was no fan in the bathroom. But overall staying here was a lovely experience and we’ll definitely stay again if we’re back in the area.

The Expedia page says parking available for $35 night, this is incorrect there is no parking available and we ended up paying $90. They did upgrade our room but we were only sleeping in it, so zero value and the door kept falling of the bathroom. Overall this is a 3 star property but incorrect info makes me mark it down. On a positive side the staff were very polite and tried to help.
