To start off, elevator was broken. We were assigned on third floor, so you can imagine as a tourist how exhausting it was to carry the baggage. When we got the room and inspected, it was dirty. The shower was filthy and full of hairs. We went downstairs to inform the staff, and they moved us to an "upgraded" room. It was worse. There was a lot of trash under the couch, the restroom was worse. It was not clean. The toilet seat was black, mirror was dirty. Unfortunately, it was that dirty we showered in crocs. The bed sheets were all stained. Bad enough for us, that all prices at that point had gone up drastically, so we had no choice, but to stay. If you are even thinking about La Quinta, please do not go there. Standars are extremely poor, and unfortunately, the facility is very ran down. Roofs looked like they were going to collapse on you. Despite the painting over the mold, you could literally still see it. Bad experience in general.
