Convenient location to attractions on main street St. Charles. Room was comfortable but was dirty as the sheets were not clean and had crumbs in the sheets and spots were on them. In the bathroom I put the towels on the rack and the towel rack fell to the floor as it was just hanging there in loose drywall. Older hotel in need of money be reinvested into to it. Have been there several times just for the location and price point . Our running joke every time we stay is wondering if they are going to replace the tile in the elevator as it has cracked and busting loose for several years . Nice location, priced right but dont expectations to high.

The property was very disgusting and it also was very dated there was no area for pets even though they are pet friendly sheets were filthy there was mold in the refrigerator we asked for clean sheets and changed ours but because we did that they tried to refuse to give our deposit back because there was sheets thrown everywhere they said but actually they was on floor bc of changing them smoke damage in our room peep hole in door you could see inside of our room because the peep hole is inside out and would pull out to where there was just a hole in the doorway where anyone could just look in or whatever very horrible hotel the night girl was very sweet and kind but the day stuff was very rude and ignorant and disrespectful we paid for late check out they tried to throw a fit about us staying later than we what we were supposed to check out if we had not paid for late check out. check out was at 11:00 a.m. but we paid an extra $20 to stay until 1:00 p.m. and the Day staff tried to complain about it and kick us out of the pool they said that we were responsible for taking our own trash out even though there was no trash can anywhere the microwave was not up to shape I was afraid it was going to catch on fire while using it the smoke alarm didn't work the motel reeked of marijuana even though it was supposed to be non-smoking there was patches cut in the carpet that was put in from other rooms pool was cold an I can continue!!!!

Terrible visit

The place was stinky and very dirty. There was a sign explaining that there was no maid service? Maybe why it’s so filthy. There were broken tiles in the elevator, the elevator hade something sticky on the buttons. The sheets were thread bare. One comforter had stains.

Not happy

first we had to change rooms because the light didn't work, no maid service, the breakfast was not ready and only served from 6 am to 9 am, shady people outside, also my prebooked reservation said nothing about a $50 deposit

It was very noisy with kids doing donuts in the parking lot at 3 am next door. The room was dusty and furniture was not in good condition. The elevator was dirty. I would not recommend and will not be staying here again

Stay Somewhere Else!

Would not recommend this hotel. Pretty run down and outdated. The elevator did not work properly…it would go up but not down. The side entrance near our room did not work and could not be used as well as the fridge in our room. Their breakfast is a joke. The waffle iron was broke so we were left with toast, a bagel or cereal.

The staff was somewhat friendly at check in, but that’s it. We checked in at around 5pm (I walked to the room to make sure the keycards worked, but nothing else) before we went to dinner and on to the concert at The Family Arena, we came back to check into our room at 9:50pm to find that the lobby and hallway to our room reeked of skunk/marijuana. Then we went into our room to find a massive spider in the tub with the remnants of his bug meal left in the tub. The TV would not turn on and the beds were made but the sheets were grungy dirty(yuck) - stained and short black hairs all over, again yuck!! It took a lot of complaining but finally got our money back(I hope?? they gave me a receipt with a zero balance??), and just drove the 1.5 hours home to our own bed!! Will not be making any reservations for an America’s Best Value Inn again!!

Decent but not great

First of all the gentleman in charge was WONDERFUL! Very pleasant at check in, then our bathroom lightbulb burned out so he was very quick to change it and apologized multiple times for the inconvenience. He was a gem! The hotel itself was very dated which wasn’t an issue but it’s definitely had several “patch jobs” instead of actual fix’s & it showed. Several tiles in the elevator & our bathroom were cracked, chipped, or just gone! The elevator buttons were slightly broken, which was concerning, & cleanliness was questionable. There was dust & dirt in several places but thankfully the beds were clean. For a 1 night stay it was fine & I can’t say enough how great the service was, was could definitely use some updating & maybe a new cleaning service. Location wise it was great too! Shops & food options within literal steps! It was also a short drive to the family arena, which was what we were there for.

We were very unhappy at this hotel. There was a hole in the door in the bathroom. The TV was not working and the clerk at the desk gave many different excuses. After a couple hours of irritation he finally came in to address it. Had made excuses

The heat and AC unit made a terrible squealing noise. Some electrical outlets and lights did not work. Generally, it needed many repairs and updates. They had no maid service, so the cleanliness was suspect.
