Great place!

The only reason we didn’t give it 5 stars, the bed was VERY firm and the only tv was not a smart tv.. There seemed to be an issue with the plumbing as every time you took a shower there was a strong sewage smell. Other than that, it was steps away from the beach and walking distance to food and shops. Would book again!

Perfect for our getaway!

The home was very clean, equipped, and comfortable!! We felt very at home during our stay at this property. The access to the beach is just a few steps away. Also was close to downtown St Augustine, different restaurants, and coffee shops. Would definitely recommend to anyone considering booking this home your vacation.

Great host and Location

Enjoyed 3 nights at this property. Owner is very thoughtful. The house was well equipped and the location of the house was great ... only 1/2 block from beach. Property was equipped with beach chairs etc. Hope to return.

30 seconds and you are on the Beach! Good for 2 adults and 2 small children as the beds are not big. Easy kitchen to cook meals and tons of restaurants near by that are walkable.

Fall Break

This was a great little spot for the kids to enjoy the beach during their fall break. The beach was not crowded at all and the close access made it easy for quick trips back and forth to the beach. We would definitely stay here again.

My main concern with this property and the reason of this review is that the sofa bed is in the garage and the garage does not have AC. We were a party of 6 and my 2 kids had to sleep in the recliners on the second floor due to lack of AC where the sofa bed is. Description should clarify that sofa bed is in a garage without AC. The garage has been modified as a living space… WITHOUT AC. June vacation in Florida without AC??? This was brought up to Vacasa the day of check in and they deliver 2 fans the next day. I have live in florida for 7 years, fans during the summer are not enough. We use AC even in the winter. That space needs AC or they need to move the sofa bed up stairs instead of the recliner if they want to advertise that that house sleeps 6.

Short walk to the beach

The location was amazing. Closer than expected. The house was very clean. We had 5 in our party 3 adults and 2 kids. There were only 4 chairs for the dining room table. We used the pull out sofa for the kids and couldn't find a reasonable cover for them. Early checkin would've been nice since we made better timing then we thought. Seems like the cleaners were finished before we got there.

Perfect family weekend

The property was as described and was perfect for our small adult family of two couples. Lots of room downstairs for larger families with teens, etc. Walking distance to Sunset Grill and other eateries. Short drive to the Amphitheater. Very well appointed and decorated with a short walk to the beach. Would definitely stay again.

Best Location!!!!

Best locatio!!! Just walk up to the beach!!! House has everything, even a shower outside to remove sand from beach. And just down the street a wonderful ice cream shop. 🍦Beds comfortable and each room has their own bathroom. Enjoyed staying here. If looking for a place where to just walk a few steps and the beach be there this is the place.

Great location - few steps from the beach and restaurants

Place is great. The location is better. However, I would change three things if I were the owner. Put a king bed in one of the rooms. It’s not necessary to have a night stand on both sides of the bed when your on vacation. That’s a must for us to come back as my wife slept in one room and I self in the other. Put an AC unit in the garage. That space is not useful in August when it’s 100 degrees outside. We actually brought the two roll out beds upstairs in the living room for the kids. In the winter months, this is probably not an issue. Last, a refrigerator with an ice machine is a must for a property like this. Ice trays are not sanitary and the ones there are broken & leak. So when you first fill them and put in the freezer they leak all over the food until it freezes. While small, it’s annoying and the outdated fridge doesn’t match the rest of the home. Other than that, it’s an awesome area. We come often and eat at Sunset Grill, Salt life, and the Mexican joint by Publics. Starbucks is in the Embassy Suites if you need it and a great ice cream shop at the end of the street.

Comfortable stay, steps from the beach

Great location - steps from the beach. I stayed there with my 70 year old mom. House was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. We were glad to have 2 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Only downside... Beds were small queen beds. Glad my husband wasn't there - we would not have fit comfortably together.

Beautiful and clean

We only came to Florida for a funeral needed a few days to unwind first. Right near ocean. The only 2 things is light bulbs near door were out and above dining table and they need new pillow cases. They were clean but they need to be replaced. My fault for not contacting owners but we really just needed time to breath and did not want to bother anyone. Im sure they would have helped us out right away. You dont have a house like this and not take care of the needs of your guest so again my fault not theirs. We would stay again if we ever go back to the area. Im sorry that I had no time to do the towels before we left but we left at 3am and the funeral was the night before. Thank you P.S the town never picked up the garbage that was left out. Again not the owners fault. Really a wonderful place to stay.

New Years staycation

Overall the house was beautiful. The living area in the “garage” was really not usable because there was no air in there. Also backyard would have been more pleasurable if there was a sitting area with a fire pit or bbq.

We enjoyed our stay. It was in walking distance of the beach. Could have been a little cleaner upon arrival and some of the light bulbs/fixtures weren't working, but overall we still rate our stay as excellent, primarily due to the location.

Great house! Well stocked with everything you need at the beach. First time I had to fold my own towels that were in the dryer but at least I knew they were freshly washed! Grass needed to be cut and the backyard has tons of potential for a patio and lights!

Amazing Memories

Staying here was a walk down memory lane for me as my grandparents owned the home across the street for many years. I wanted my children to experience the wonderful summers I had as a kid and this was the perfect place to do that. The house is much larger than the pictures make it seem, we were pleasantly surprised. We rented the home due to Covid concerns as we have young children and were a bit uneasy about staying at the hotels in the area. The area has been built up so much it was amazing how many things there were to do within walking distance. When I was younger rather than the hill to walk to the beach there was a rock wall you would climb down about 20 feet or so to get to the beach and during high tide, the water would come up directly to the houses. The engineering it took to move the water out and away from the houses was amazing and even more so that it has now become a turtle breeding ground - my daughter was so excited about potentially seeing a turtle! The decor of the home was wonderful, my three-year-old insisted we name all of the mermaids in the house and she would greet them every morning. You could tell how meticulous the cleaning was and the care taken based on the condition of the furniture. We had one issue with one of the bathroom doors where it literally fell off the hinges - we texted the property manager and within an hour someone was there to repair it. The basement room does not have air conditioning as it was a converted garage but the upstairs was large enough that we didn't end up using the space as an extra room anyway. Also, we never did figure out how to open the exterior door into that room as the lock was older and there is another door right next to the main entrance. The only downsides for us were the dishwasher is very small and seemingly older - having an infant means many bottle parts which I was not wanting to hand wash the whole time but was ok, the upstairs TV cable box was limited and the TV being older meant we could not stream to it even with the Chromecast we brought with us (it rained quite a few times while we were there so we were inside often), and the starter supplies honestly lasted us about 2 days and our stay was for 9 days, granted it was starter supplies but we felt like it was only enough for maybe 2 people and we had a full house. Overall, I absolutely loved it. If given the opportunity I would absolutely rent this house again.
