Summers in South Haven have never been brighter than at You Are My Sunshine - An upscale, farmhouse-style retreat just two blocks from the sandy shores of Oak Street Beach. Tucked into the charming north-side neighborhoods, this home blends elevated style with all the familiar comforts you need for a carefree, joy-filled escape. Designed by longtime guests of ours who know exactly what makes a vacation feel effortless and unforgettable, every corner has been thoughtfully curated to welcome you in and let the worries melt away.



Step inside and you’ll instantly feel at home in the warm, open-concept living room. Whether you’re coming back from the beach with sandy toes or settling in after a day exploring downtown, this cozy space invites everyone to sink into the oversized seating, cue up a movie on the large TV, or simply gather around the gas fireplace for a mellow evening in. The ambiance is all yours to set - Easy, inviting, and just the right amount of cozy.



The adjacent kitchen is a hub for connection. With modern appliances, generous counter space, and a layout that keeps everyone in the mix, it’s perfect for everything from pancake breakfasts to late-night snacks. Even if you’re not the cook of the group, you’ll find it’s a space that draws people in - Whether to lend a hand, pour a glass of wine, or sneak a bite of whatever’s sizzling on the stove.



Right off the kitchen, the dining room is where meals turn into memories. Bright and airy, the long table welcomes big breakfasts, game nights, and plenty of lingering conversations. Whether it’s passing the syrup or dealing the next round of cards, this space was made for togetherness.



When it's time to recharge, the main-level King Suite offers a serene escape. With a soft, king-sized bed, calming tones, and a private en suite bath, it's a perfect spot for guests who prefer to avoid stairs while still enjoying a peaceful, private retreat.



Upstairs, there’s room for everyone to stretch out. The second King Suite provides a dreamy sanctuary, while the Kid’s Bunk Suite is brimming with charm and energy - Sure to be filled with laughter. The Twin Suite works beautifully for guests of all ages, and the Family Suite offers a queen and twin bed combo that’s both comfy and flexible. Tucked away at the top is the Loft, a cozy hideout where kids (or adults!) can unwind with a favorite show or game, or just daydream the afternoon away.



Downstairs, the lower-level family room keeps the fun going strong. Curl up for a movie night, set the kids loose in the play area, or rinse off beach day remnants in the full bath before heading back out again. And when you're ready to enjoy some fresh air...



Step outside into your private backyard haven. You Are My Sunshine is conveniently situated along Park Avenue in South Haven, a vibrant community of quiet and respectful folks who share a common love for the Lake Michigan shoreline. Here, the best of South Haven is mere moments away. Oak Street Beach is just a brief 3-minute walk away, while Stanley Johnston Park and the South Haven Harbor are right down the street. Downtown SoHa’s local shops and eateries are just a short stroll across the iconic drawbridge. One thing is certain: staying at You Are My Sunshine immerses you in the heart of all that South Haven has to offer!

Parking: Driveway parking for up to 2 vehicles and street parking for up to 3 vehicles

Pets: Pets are not allowed at this home

We're available in-person Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, to assist guests in planning their South Haven vacation and providing insider tips for an authentic local experience.



For our incoming guests:



Prior to your arrival you will receive all pertinent check-in information communicated via email and mobile SMS messaging, as well as a local destination guide with our personal recommendations on local eats and activities in the area.



We provide an after-hours emergency phone number to call in case an issue arises outside of our standard business hours. Additionally, we provide you with a mobile SMS number that you can text for non-emergency issues.
