Historical Hotels in South Glens Falls, NY

"Wonderful stay at a beautiful hotel. It is beautifully remodel but you can see hints of the age and character it has. Don't expect a brand new chain hotel but truly appreciate this one for the charm it has. The hot tub was hot but the pool was on the chiller side. All staff was wonderful and we took advantage of room service for breakfast. Beds were comfy. Felt very safe for families. The only downside was no microwave for guest staying in the room or elsewhere in the hotel. So we ate cold leftovers. They have a fridge in the room but no microwave. So just plan accordingly. Would recommend and love to return one day. "

"Dated and a little dusty but functional. Waterpark is half the size of The Kartrite down in Monticello. Not enough chairs for guests in the waterpark. The staff primarily with smiles and pleasant attitude were front desk and staff that handed out waterpark towel. Don't expect other staff you pass by to say hi. I'd say this is generally a family friendly place; no cursing heard throughout my stay nor visible alcoholic beverages. Small sectioned smoking area outside of building, which was nice. Restaurants onsite were pricey compared to a short drive into town. Plenty of parking. Short drive to Lake George and any nature activity. Peak season should be between Memorial Day thru Labor Day."
