This little treasure is tucked into a charming neighborhood of mostly renovated homes. You can tell loving attention is paid to each one on the block. People walk to church, walk their dogs, play ball with their kids in the yard, and ride bikes. Everyone smiles and waves as you pass. Located just a couple of blocks off Main, restaurants are close and plentiful. Golf carts have stickers that allow them to drive on the roads, and many are parked up and down the blocks of downtown, where people stroll while sipping frozen "slushy" cocktails, beer, or wine. We recommend Honey's Pizza.
The house is restored with modern conveniences and a ton of antique charm. The place is just as pictured but feels enormous due to the high ceilings. The one caveat is that the backyard cottage shares the back porch and is only about ten steps from the backdoor. If privacy is an issue, rent the cottage as well. It's darling, too! The beds were incredibly comfortable, the fresh ground coffee in the morning was divine (along with the selection of snacks and breakfast foods), and the bathrooms were clean and modern. This is the place you are looking for.
We can't wait to come back and explore more of what the area has to offer and wouldn't dream of staying elsewhere.
