The Space:
Completed in 2019, this handcrafted luxury cabin was designed with meticulous attention to detail. Set on over 2 acres of private land, you’ll enjoy your own waterfall*, a peaceful stream, and plenty of room to roam.
We’ve also created multiple short private walking trails throughout the property—including a path that leads straight to the natural cliff face in the backyard, just a few minutes’ walk from the cabin.
Inside, the cabin features high-end finishes throughout, a cozy fireplace, a custom kitchen, billiards, multiple TVs, and a spacious walk-in shower. The outdoor living space is equally impressive, offering a hot tub, outdoor seating, and complete privacy surrounded by forested views. Flat parking is available for multiple vehicles.
Kitchen:
Our kitchens are stocked with the basics—pots, pans, utensils, plates, cups, and cooking essentials. Due to high guest volume, items occasionally go missing. If anything you need is not available, please reach out so we can make your stay 5-star.
*Please note the waterfall can be low if it has not rained in awhile. But the scenery is still beautiful behind the cabin.
Guest Access:
Guests will have exclusive access to the entire cabin, including three private bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy living area with a fireplace, and a billiards room. Step outside to enjoy the hot tub, outdoor seating, and the private waterfall. Explore the backyard to discover your own seasonal waterfall. Flat parking is available for multiple vehicles.

Host was great! View was amazing. Interior was well stocked and mostly clean. The washing machine was filthy and the water smelled. The hot tub didn’t work night 1, but was serviced. Again, the host was great and responsive.

Quintessential Gorge Cabin
One of the few times that VRBO pics don’t do the place justice. Nestled into the canyon, it’s so private and peaceful. The private waterfall is beautiful. Will definitely be back. For newcomers, put the coordinates in google maps when you are still in populated areas, you won’t have a signal once you get to the turnoff.

We left feeling refreshed, reconnected, rejuvenated!
Freedom Falls Cabin provided the most relaxing getaway. The property is incredibly private and serene—surrounded by waterfall(s), quiet, and beauty. We felt safe, welcomed, and completely at ease. Our kids (ages 8m-13y) all loved exploring the property (no poison ivy!), campfires in both fire pits, there was plenty of space for our entire family (2adults-5kids) to sleep comfortably and eat as a family. The cabin was spotless & stocked with everything we needed - pleasantly surprised by how well-equipped the kitchen was—seasonings, utensils, dishes, pots, pans, & baking sheets. Fridge/Freezer, microwave, toaster, oven worked as expected. The hosts thought of everything, including essentials like towels, toilet paper, paper towels, and sweet touches like hand soaps & hair dryers. The ambiance was truly perfect— CLEAN, cozy, & warm, with a light and bright aesthetic that made it feel both spacious and inviting. They nailed the “cabin in the woods” vibe with tasteful black bear décor, but w/o the dark, grungy or outdated feel you sometimes find in rustic rentals. We’re very impressed with the WiFi and cell service— it was very strong and reliable (we have Verizon but one of our guests did not get cell service with AT&T but the WiFi solved that problem). A few things we were happy to be aware of beforehand: bring drinking water and do not be so anxious about the hills to get to the cabin - our minivan did just fine! All in all, this cabin exceeded our expectations in every way!

Beautiful place!
The home is just as beautiful as described. The waterfall area was stunning and the kids absolutely loved exploring it! Would absolutely recommend for a unique and peaceful experience. Our only suggestion for improvement is we wish we had known that the house is certainly off the main road and the address in the listing is to the visitor’s center in Slade, not to this home. This caused some major confusion with a grocery delivery and trying to get here with two different vehicles. It’s about 25 min further than anticipated from the direction we were traveling.

Spectacular
This is such a special place to stay. When your rental has a private waterfall, fire pit, hot tub, grill, and all the cozy cabin vibes- what more could you possibly want?! This was a very special treat for my birthday and it exceeded my expectations. Thank you for your hospitality!
