This is a nice hotel — old, but well maintained. The room was comfortable and overall the property has charm.
The breakfast, however, was disappointing. When I asked about gluten-free bread, I was told it was the one labeled “Wheat Bread.” That’s not gluten-free, and it made me question whether staff understood what gluten-free actually means. I’m also doubtful that the waffle mix they claimed was gluten-free truly was.
On the plus side, the front desk staff who checked us in was amazing — friendly, professional, and very helpful. Unfortunately, checkout was the opposite. The woman at the desk seemed annoyed and not very friendly.
Overall, a nice hotel with some real strengths, but the breakfast quality and staff training around dietary needs need improvement.
