Had I seen the room prior to signing in I would have walked away. Front window needs cleaning. Door chipped and need of paint. Curtain has small holes in it. Just in poor condition for an evening stay. Locked the door and Left within 5 minutes Expedia should not have this property in their list

Loved the history there and the tavern. The fireplace in the lobby was great too. The bar tenders were terrific as well as our waitress. The room was fine but the bathroom toilet was terribly low and difficult to use. The room was cold and we couldn’t adjust temperature. The inn could use a professional decorator. Again, it was lovely and we were there for the history

The sign read "Under New Management"

The room was not clean. Towels for use had old stains. One towel looked like it had been previously used.The bathroom faucet was dirty. No hot water in the sink or shower. The comforter in the bed had animal on the top. It was hidden by a coverlet that had old stains. Pets are welcome however there should be rooms set aside for people bringing their pets. I do not sleep in the same bed as my pet and I definitely don't want to sleep in a bed with someone else's.
