However, I recently realized that there was a $20 per night charge that I wasn’t aware of at the time. This unexpected fee left me feeling a bit disappointed, as I would have appreciated clearer communication about it during the booking process. I will start with that having my adult son with me i felt safe. I would have not felt safe traveling as a solo woman, solo woman with any of my grandchildren or even other female friends. The area is rampant with addicts and lots of homeless. Neither of which necessarily equals dangerous but you just never know. The hotel itself was clean, smelled nice and was great for a quick stay. Wouldn’t be my first choice for a longer than 2 night vacation. As with everything you get what you pay for. Do your homework before visiting SF.
