Ghosted the day of arrival.

All the family arrived in town for Thanksgiving and we couldn’t get a hold of the host. VRBO customer service couldn’t get a hold of them either. No code to enter the house was available so our stay was canceled the day of arrival. VRBO staff reimbursed us and apologized but we still had to scramble for a place for our guests to stay.

Relaxing stay

The house was very spacious. Well kept, the only hiccup I had was a ruined blind and the freezer handle coming off the freezer. The only other thing I had difficulty with was the back patio door. The locks are very child proof (adult) . I really appreciated the security system. Also don't be alarmed if the neighbors set off fireworks. I was able to contact Erica and she responded very quickly and stated that the problem would be fixed.

Perfect house for family stay!

This is the perfect place to gather with your family. We stayed to attend my nephews Airman graduation at Lackland and we couldn’t have made a better choice in a vacation home! The house had plenty of room for our family to stay comfortably. The living room had a huge comfortable sofa that we all could relax on and visit with our nephew during his leave from base for the day. The bedrooms had comfortable beds with nice soft linens and even had a great portable crib that made it even easier for my family to stay. We took advantage of the close proximity to the river walk downtown for dinner (about 15 mins) from the house and a very short drive to base for all the festivities there (about 10 mins). We also had a chance to use the community pool that was a quick 3 min drive and was a welcome relief from the hot Texas sun! If you are attending events at Lackland I can’t recommend this house enough for a memorable and comfortable stay!!

Great house

This was the first time I had stayed at a rented house. I had a little bit of trouble checking in, so that was not the owners fault, but, I had a little bit of trouble contacting her. We had to call the customer service number so they could get a hold of her. The only complain we have about the property is that we had bought 3 boxes of donuts on Friday night, and the next morning, there were a lot of ants in the boxes, so we had to throw them away. We had to clean really well and put all food in the refrigerator to make sure the ants did not get to it. I did see a few ants in one of the bathrooms upstairs. Everything else was great.

Walker Family Vacation 2021

The house was really nice and comfortable with a quiet little patio on back. It is centrally located less than 30 minutes of most attractions. We were pleased and would highly recommend to others.
