Check-in was quick and easy and our room was very clean. We had a few hiccups, like a clogged bathroom sink and some ants in our room but it was all resolved quickly and with such kindness and respect. I will always return to Hotel Valencia because there staff always tries to go above and beyodn for their customers and the location is great if you want to be downtown and near the Riverwalk

Besides the fact they overbooked their hotel and left us in a double bed for the night when we paid for a king and it was a pain to get fixed they refused to fix it until i got ahold of expida. The ice machines were not working so u had to wait 20 to 30 mins to get ice sent to your room. They charge a $22 per night fee that no one told us about like they are in vegas parking is $64 a day with is crazy. They have no fridge u can use in your room i had a prescription that needed to stay cold and it's very hard to take it when need because we would have to wait in line at the desk for someone to grab it from the kitchen then take it back. The walls are very thin so plan on hearing everything that walks by definitely not worth the price and not very accommodating. Best part was they kept blaming expida for there mistake most of the staff is very rude only one nice young lady was there wish we got her name but beside her the place definitely isn't worth it

We were here for a family getaway. This was an amazing hotel with wonderful staff. It was a beautiful hotel. We really enjoyed our stay here. We had some hors d'oeuvres and drinks at the bar as a family and it was all very well done. We will definitely stay here again

This was my first trip to San Antonio so I wanted the full downtown experience. I chose Hotel Valencia because of the location and good deal on the room. Upon arrival, I had to pay $64 a night for valet. I was shocked because I thought the $64 covered the duration of your stay, as long as you don't leave the premise. I still chose valet as the downtown area has limited parking and is walkable. Check in is at 4 pm. I arrived a little after 4 pm and waited almost an hour to get my room; there were people who stated they waited almost 2 hours. I will say the staff were pretty nice which made things better but it's ridiculous to have to wait, especially after long distance travel. I believe a credit should've been applied to guests who waited for their rooms. When I went to the main restroom as I waited the restroom was NOT clean. My room was nice, but it could use a facelift (e.g. the Keurig didn't work, the bedframe has chipped paint, and rust was in certain places) I didn't mind but these are personal things I saw. I also noticed the bathroom wasn't as clean as it could've been as I saw a few pieces of hair I the tub. I personally cleaned it and chose not to report as I was already tired from waiting for my room. There's a hidden destination fee of $22 a night that's not advertised, on top of the $64 valet parking. This destination fee is supposed to cover meals at Hotel Valencia's on sight restaurant and amenities in the room.
