The inside of the unit was in acceptable condition, nice kitchen and couches. There was a great view of the pool area and also an ocean view. I was surprised that I could not hear the waves from the unit balcony. We had very close access to the boardwalk to the beach. Our pool use was limited because the pool pump was not working half of the time we were there. I booked for 5 people and found out after arriving that the 5th bed was simply a thin mattress slipped under one of the single beds, not good. In the primary bedroom I kept almost tripping over a floor rug with a turned up corner, not good for a 74 year old person. Over all it was a good experience and I would book at this complex again although maybe not the same unit.

Great vacation rental close to the beach

We felt very lucky to find harbor Island and this rental. We were very close to the beach and there was a pool 30 minutes away. The walk to the beach was 3 minutes. The unit was very nicely appointed very clean, and had a beautiful view of the ocean and pool.

A great vacation

This is a well maintained property in a beautiful setting. We came for the Air Show and then spent the rest of the time visiting Beaufort and Savannah. We also took daily walks on the beaches and spent one day at Hunting Island. The condo was very clean and the property manager and owner were very responsive. The condo contained everything we needed with plenty of lines, dishes, etc. and included beach toys. Would highly recommend!

Great for a getaway

We stayed here for 2 nights for a girls trip, the beach, the pool and other amenities were also great. Condo felt mostly well stocked (no toaster but not the end of the world) the photos were mostly accurate looked like a Keurig ended up being a coffee pot, which was fine we had brought both.one thing that did bother us and we probably could have clarified was that the 3rd twin bed mentioned in the description does not have a frame, it’s a twin mattress on the floor under the other twin bed, we had planned based on the price that everyone would get there own bed but that didn’t work out the way we expected. We had a great stay, 2 shared the long, we would go again and just bring things we needed.

Very clean and quiet stay!

This property is just as advertised! Very clean, quick walk to beach with calm waves great for young kids. We had teens with us so we used the state park pass the owners provided and took the short 10 minute drive to Hunting State Park to visit the beach there which had a great beach and waves kids could jump! Having the washer and dryer in the condo was so convenient after the beach days too! It did get warm in the upstairs master bedroom, but the owners provided box fans for extra air circulation which was nice! We ate at Another Slice pizza place right by condo and it was delicious! Make sure to stop and visit Hank the real estate dog at the realtor’s office just before the entrance to the complex!

Wonderful stay

Although there were a few ill-maintained qualities about the property, we had a wonderful stay. The views of the ocean from the balcony were beautiful! The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could have needed! The walk to the beach was an easy one!

Terrific Beach Rental

Rental unit was excellent for our needs. Very clean and in a nice gated community. Close proximity to Hunting Island State park and pass for entry into the park. We had a fabulous week and will definitely plan to return in the future!

Enjoyed our very much

The condo was very spacious and comfortable and it appeared clean to me. My daughter told me after we got home she saw 2 dead bugs in apartment. I'm not sure what they were. She said she didn't want to ruin our stay. But we all enjoyed our time on Harbor Island. I suggest anyone staying there bring dvd's if you want to watch TV. The cable didn't work property even on clear days. It came in and went out every 10 minutes. On rainy days it was out altogether. We didn't spend a lot of time watching the television.

Not clean

Decor was good but need to be deep cleaned thoroughly. Floors were gritty and filmy and had to be cleaned on the first night. cabinet doors and drawers are very sticky from the massive overpainting and need to be fixed, much more to mention

Basics taken care of

Definitely the basics - the only reason it's not five stars is because there was sand on two of the rugs (we just vacuumed it, no biggie), and there were NO EXTRAS. Make sure to stop in town before arriving for all paper products and cleaning supplies (dishes, laundry, etc) if you are staying more than a couple of nights.

Harbor Island 3 night stay

The condo was fresh and clean, had generous linens and comfortable furniture with the exception of the twin beds. Unfortunately, for adults they were not comfortable which was expected for twin beds but the mattresses on these made them especially uncomfortable. Also, curtains are needed in the twin room as the light from the parking area is an annoyance. and there needs to be a toaster in the kitchen and lock doesn't work on sliding glass door so the only lock was the post in the door tract. Otherwise all good!

Great location and great beach!

This is the perfect no frills beach house for family fun! There weren't any hazards for kids, which was nice and made it easy to relax and enjoy our stay. The rental company was accommodating, and provided additional opportunities for fun by offering passes to Hunting Island among other discounts! As other reviews mention, it is dated, but we enjoyed it especially with kids because there's less to worry about. I also found it not to be as clean as expected (as mentioned by others) but it wasn't the end of the world and it probably depends on your standard of clean. The kitchen is small, but it has everything you need to cook meals. We made all our food there. Be mindful that the grocery stores are 15-20 mins away. The upstairs was warm, but the box fans provided (in the closets) were wonderful and fixed the issue right up! The beach is close, and it was such a beautiful beach! Highly recommend for small children. We had a wonderful time and plan to return in the future!

Great stay just needs some updates.

Perfect private getaway! We loved the location. Only complaint was that the kitchen and bathrooms were really dated. Old stuff comes across as dirty stuff and it took me a moment to get past it.

Great Location, No Frills Condo

Last Summer we stayed in a condo across the parking lot from this condo - same floor plan but completely renovated and super clean. We really liked the area - no hotels, nice and quiet, family-friendly - and were excited to return this year. We enjoyed our trip this year, and the location of this condo is great (overlooking a pool, close to the two other pools, near a boardwalk to the beach, good view), but were anticipating a condo more in line with the one we stayed in last year. This one is furnished well, but the bones haven't been updated. I should've studied the photos of the appliances more carefully. Normally, we do a fair bit of cooking ourselves and get our laundry done before we head home. All of the appliances worked (although didn't even try the washer and dryer), but cooking didn't appeal. Also - and most importantly - the condo didn't feel as clean as we'd expect in a normal year and certainly caught our attention in these times. I'm sure it was cleaned with disinfectant as advertised, but definitely not sanitized as expected. Crumbs under the coffee table, dust under the recliner and on the window sills, soap scum in the shower. Thought about calling for a reclean, but could see that this was not a new issue and didn't want to waste precious little vacation time organizing it - plus we spent most of our time on the beach and at the pool. We made it work. Will consider this company and this area again, but will be more selective in our booking next time.

Practical Escape

The condo was beautiful and comfortable, and was a short walk to the beach - short enough that I’d walk back and forth from the beach to the condo to use the restroom and restock on drinks and snacks. We were a group of 4 adults and we weren’t disappointed in our stay. Nothing was lacking. Would definitely consider staying again.
