We stayed one night prior to cruise departure. This gem did not disappoint. Small room, quaint but clean & really comfortable beds. Amazingly friendly and efficient staff. Highly recommend. Minutes to train. Just what we were hoping for.

NOT a 4 Star Hotel.

Firstly i will point out that we stayed in room 502, which was a tiny twin room. Location wise this hotel was perfect, 5 mins from Termini station with restaurants and shops in the surrounding streets.....also within 2-30 mins walking distance of a lot of Rome's main attractions. We used the tube to get back from Vatican City to Termini, so everything is accessible. The hotel is also in the middle of the Embassy District so the streets are clean, tidy and feel very safe. Breakfast was good, enough choice and constantly replenished so nice and fresh. We spent 3 nights at this hotel and it served it's purpose but we expected more. This is NOT a 4 Star Hotel! The negative points are as follows: The room was tiny, we pushed the beds into the walls as can be seen on the picture so we could move around. No headboards, and as can be seen this must have originally been fitted out for a double bed as the sockets for the lights were above the pillows. However these were not usable sockets. The only usable sockets were right next to the sink (not a fan of electrics so close to water) and in the door entrance - these are both highlighted in blue on the photo. The biggest negative was the bathroom. You need the dexterity of a mountain goat to get out of the shower (no shower curtain/screen) with only a few inches gap. The bath is an old enamel bath so slippy when wet. The room had a drain in the middle, which is probably the source of the smell! Overall disappointing.

Perfectly acceptable hotel for a short stay in Rome. Room was clean, if a little dated and the walls were quite thin. However, as a base for exploring it was ideal and we never spent much time in the room anyway. The hotel is only a short walk from Castro Pretorio metro station so getting about was great. The breakfast buffet was also pretty good, with plenty of options.

Noise! Constant noise. The rooms need sound proofing. First night I waited an hour before confronting and adult who was in charge of a group of students who made so much noise for over an hour that my wife was crying. Then Itge building across the road seemed to have some building work that started at midnight! The second night the guy in the room next door had a telephone conversation for an hour which I could hear every word from 2am! Staff were ok, but disinterested generally. Hotel was clean, but one of the lifts didn't work for the 3 days we were there and the sign looked as though it had been up for a while. Hairdryer in our room didn't work, but happily it was fixed the same day, kudos for that. It's situated a few minutes walk from Roma Termini which is convenient, and we can thoroughly recommend the pizzeria ristorante Andrea just a few minutes walk away. Overall poor, but mainly because of disrupted sleep.

For the same money you can probably find somewhere nicer. The hotel is run down and in need of a lot of work. Good things: location was good for Roma Central Station, bed was comfortable, room was a decent size, staff were friendly. Not so good: the hotel is run down, the curtains didn't close so you're awake with the sun, the room smelt, the air con worked but the markings were worn off so it was hard to control, you can hear every bodily function of neighbouring rooms, the door was flimsy and I suspect easy to just push open, there's no shower curtain so everything gets wet, the hot water takes a long time to arrive, there were burn holes in the blanket and the tiny lift gets a workout in busy periods, the other lift looks like it's been broken a long time. I would not stay here again.

Really good!!

The hotel is in a very safe location. It was quiet, and the rooms had everything you need for a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of tasty options.

The worst hotel experience ever!

Terrible, terrible, terrible. This was by far the worst hotel experience I've ever had. The room was shockingly small — barely enough space to walk around, let alone store luggage. The washroom setup was insane: no shower curtain, so every shower turned the bathroom into a soaked mess. Water would pool on the floor outside the tub, creating a constant slipping hazard. The toilet and vanity layout made no sense, completely awkward and uncomfortable to use. To top it all off, the amenities smelled awful. I can’t stress this enough: do not stay here. It’s uncomfortable, impractical, and poorly maintained. A total disappointment.
