Guests are asked to treat the space with the same care and consideration they would their own home. Check-in is available at 4 p.m. or later, with checkout by 11 a.m. The guest suite is accessed via the exterior basement steps and offers a private entrance and dedicated space. While the host lives upstairs on the main floor and you may occasionally hear everyday household sounds, your suite is entirely your own. Parking is available for up to two vehicles near the guest entrance, though space can be a bit tight. Guests are welcome to turn around at the top of the hill to make coming and going easier. The home is located on Colonial Avenue, which can be busy at times, so extra care is recommended when entering or exiting the driveway, especially during peak hours. Visibility is maintained by regularly trimming the bank in front of the house, but guests who prefer a less stressful exit may find it easier to turn right and loop around using a nearby street or traffic light. Inside, the suite includes two bedrooms—a larger bedroom with a queen-size bed and two spacious closets, and a smaller bedroom with a full-size bed—along with a full bathroom. Guests have access to a laundry area, a small kitchen setup with a mini fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker, and a dining area intended for enjoying meals. Dedicated workspaces with desks make the suite well-suited for remote work or study, and a small library offers a wide selection of books to enjoy during your stay. Outdoors, guests are welcome to relax in the backyard seating area, perfect for morning coffee or winding down in the evening. For a quieter escape, the upper backyard offers a peaceful, wooded setting ideal for reflection and connecting with nature. Wildlife sightings are common, including rabbits, chipmunks, squirrels, deer, and a variety of birds, which can be enjoyed from a respectful distance. Guests are asked to be mindful of neighboring homes, especially during early mornings and evenings, to help maintain a calm environment. During the summer months, an outdoor griddle is available for guests who wish to cook outside, with instructions provided and cleaning appreciated after use.
