Eco-friendly Tiny Home in Alberta Arts District
This may technically be a tiny home but it doesn't feel that way when you're inside. The thoughtful details throughout the space will make you feel right at home. From the heated floor in the bathroom to the extra high ceilings in the living room, the huge walk in shower to the luxurious mattress, pillows and bedding in the loft, this place was designed for ultimate comfort.
While the tiny home was designed with comfort and enjoyment in mind, we also wanted to make it as sustainable as possible. Everything including the heated floor in the bathroom and the heating / cooling heat pump mini-split are powered by solar panels on the roof, and we went overboard with insulation so that it stays cozy in the winter and cool in the summer. We provide soap, shampoo and conditioner all in re-fillable bottles to minimize plastic waste, and the bidet in the bathroom helps cut down on toilet paper waste too!
Other features of the tiny home include: - Pull out sofa bed to sleep up to 4 people total - Customizable and colorful lighting options - Beautiful circle window and skylight - Kitchenette with mini fridge, single induction burner, electric kettle, french press and coffee - Work station with desk and chair - Washer / dryer in unit - Bidet with instant hot water, heated seat, and dryer
The neighborhood:
The tiny home is in a beautiful and safe part of Northeast Portland. Enjoy checking out the unique houses and gardens on a neighborhood walk, or visit Wilshire Park just a block away. It's also a great base to explore Portland from:
- 10 minute walk to the Alberta Arts District with tons of shops and restaurants - Fremont and Killingsworth streets offer more shopping and dining ~15 minute walk away - 15 minute drive from the airport - 15 minute drive to downtown or almost any other neighborhood (yes really, Portland is a pretty small city) - 4 blocks from the 33rd st bus, 6 blocks from the 42nd st bus
Host / Guest interaction:
I live in the house right next to the tiny home so I'm available if you need anything or have any questions, but I'm also happy to give you your privacy. Please don't hesitate to reach out if I can do anything to make your stay more comfortable, or if you want any recommendations for exploring Portland.

Portland Oasis
Perfect space for a solo traveler, a couple, or even a group of three if you’re all friendly. Easygoing, chill host and cool neighborhood location — not far from anything, but removed enough that it feels like a nice oasis.

Emerald Dream
Really beautiful space. Set up well for 1-2 with a basic kitchenette (wouldn’t be surprised if this gets upgraded- the rest is VERY modern). Modern/effective dehumidifier - super necessary for the dampness of the area at times. The neighborhood is precious and safe. The BEST part is the beautiful shower space to wash off your local hike, bike, adventure. You’re close to EVERYTHING and never feel like you’re “in the city”. This is truly a gem in Portland and I’m so thankful I was able to really relax and enjoy myself a bit during what could have been viewed as a “stressful” trip! I ran a 1/2 marathon checkout day and the host was very communicative about giving me a little extra time to clean up and check out. Nice to work with humans in such a lovely environment.

Really cool little spot!
This is a great tiny house that feels really spacious and has great amenities. You can tell everything is brand new. The bed was comfortable and there is great lighting throughout the space. Loved that the toilet had a bidet and the sink area is spacious and nice. The star of the show, though, is definitely the shower! Huge with 3 different shower head options! It was really peaceful and relaxing, like a little oasis spa. I honestly wished I wasn't so busy and had more time to spend in the space itself. It is in a great neighborhood that still feels quiet and safe (super important in Portland!), but still easy to get around to fun areas of NE. I walked around a bit and enjoyed all the spring flowers and trees blooming. Thanks Miles!
