I was informed by wife who arrived before I did, that they had to do some house cleaning. The lay out of the residence was great and the location was also. It had everything that we needed.

Exposed Electrical in Kids Room / Inconsistent Information
Overall the house was pleasant and the neighborhood quite and beautiful. There was quite a bit of frustration finding the house and getting inside. The initial email said the lockbox was beside garden hose and gave a code. I dumbly thought that was enough and began our voyage. After we ended up on the dead end road, we went to find service so I could download the additional documents. There we found the gate code for the private neighborhood and better directions. Once inside the neighborhood, the key was not beside the water hose, but on the pillar. Inconsistent between initial email and messaged documents. Once inside the house, the manual is outdated with camera location and quantity...I hope as we could never find the interior facing camera. Quite a concern there. There is inconsistencies between the farewell letter and the manual on the counter. We stripped the beds anyways though it didnt mention it in the farewell letter. However, the biggest complaint is the number of uncovered outlets and exposed wiring. These were mostly present in the "kids" areas too. The bunk bed room downstairs also had a ceiling light out. Randomly, there was a broken picture frame behind the living room tv.

Great Get Away
Pros:
☆Beautiful unit overall
☆Extremely responsive owner
☆Very accurate advertising
☆Easy check in process
Opportunity Areas:
☆Water conservation requirements should be included in advertisement or disclosed while in refund period
☆Couch in main living room needs to replaced or swapped out with the one in the basement. It has no support.
☆Cleaners could have done a better job with the details. Examples: Refill soap dispensers with soap not water, provide at least one or two full replacement rolls of tissue, make sure hard surfaces are wiped down thoroughly and completely make beds (for some reason top sheets were left off beds and left folded on top of comforters).
Overall, this was a good experience and would easily give it 5 stars if the minor opportunities listed above were corrected

Very nice getaway
We had a lovely stay at the cabin. The communication with the owners was great. We travelled from Florida with our foreign exchange student from Finland and she was in awe of the views as she said she had never seen mountains like that back home. We were able to see lots of deer and feed them some corn in the mornings. The cabin was comfy & well stocked with supplies. I would recommend this cabin for families or couples looking for a nice getaway.

Great Get Away Chalet
I would highly recommend staying @ Juan's place. The place had everything you need on a vacation. The kitchen was fully equiped with everthing you might need & in good working order. Linens provided were adequate. The feeding of the deer with corn that was provided was a special treat for the children. I will be staying there when we come next year for our family reunion.

Perfect Experience
We had an excellent experience! In fact, I have no suggestions on how anything could have been better. A great setting with deer everywhere, peaceful and quite. A lovely cabin with everything furnished and plenty of room. Great wrap around decks to hang out and watch the turkey and deer. We hated to leave and want to go back.

Clean and functional
Property was very clean, perfectly functional for our long weekend for a local wedding. The attention to detail, labels around the house and the welcome manual, were much appreciated.
Be aware of 2 things: 1) you'll get a notice about well water for the home being potentially limited, with a list of suggestions to minimize use of water. It was not an issue for my husband and me, but could be for a group. 2) the security camera has two way listening - hopefully the owners are only using the visual to monitor outside, but the camera is indoors AND capable of hearing sound nearby.
Lovely stay, communicative hosts, would rent again.

Breathtaking and Charming home with a wonderful view! My son and I wanted to stay, we definitely will be back! Next time I will bring my own cookware, utensils etc. Other than that it was perfect. Great neighborhood and friendly neighbors. Quiet and peaceful. Juan provides extremely detailed instructions on how to access the property. I was initially concerned, but our gps lead us straight there with pinpoint accuracy.

A comprehensive review of the Mountain Getaway Chalet
Check In/Check Out: this process was contactless and streamlined. There were no hiccups that we experienced. We are used to checking in by 2 or 3pm and out by 11am, whereas this cabin has a designated check-in time of 4pm and check-out time of 10am. We didn’t like those times at first. You will receive a Welcome Letter from the owner 1-2 days before your check-in and then a check-out letter on the last day of your stay. Owner was available by VRBO app and also provided his cell phone number.
Location: We love having cabins in the country side. We love traveling back roads and feeling secluded. This cabin allowed us those things. This cabin is in a very rural area, but it was easy to find. The neighborhood was quiet and clean. The nearest Walmart/Ingles was about 40 minutes away. There are no real “attractions” in the area.
Cleanliness: I would give this cabin a 3 of 5 stars. While it was not ‘dirty’, this cabin would benefit from a deep cleaning. We usually re-wash the dishes before using them only as a precaution, but in this cabin doing so was required.
Bedrooms/Bathrooms: This cabin is listed as 5 bedrooms, however, it has 4 true bedrooms and then a sofa bed in a sitting area on the lower level. There are several beds in one of the rooms on the lower level - this would be perfect for a group with several kids staying. This probably won’t be a big deal to most, but there’s only one bedroom that has a TV - it is the master bedroom/king bed on the loft. Our family has a couple that only sleeps well with a TV playing during the night, so this changed up our sleeping arrangements just a bit. There are 3 total bathrooms. The bathroom on the main level has a walk-in shower, which was nice for my elderly grandparents. This would also be semi-handicap accessible. There is a seat in this shower as well. Hot water was not an issue for our family, though we did try to space out the showers each morning.
Kitchen: There are plenty of utensils to use. There is a dishwasher and a touch less faucet. There is ONLY a Keurig and no traditional coffee maker, so be prepared if your family loves coffee like mine!
There is at least 1 security camera in the home facing outward. This was disturbing to some of our group. Just a heads up!
This cabin had wonderful outdoor seating.

Golf outing
Great accommodations and good communication with owner and Chalet manual with complete details exceptionally helpful.
However it’s really 4 bedrooms and area with sleep sofa
Can sleep more individual guests if can sleep on upper bunks but our guests were all in there late 60s and 70 and not serviceable to us
Would definitely return ‼️‼️👍😍
