I am local to Phoenix area. Usually we conduct our annual company leadership team meetings in Phoenix in hotels. We tried something different with Julep by AvantStay this time around - I am so glad we did this. The property is located in an unbeatable location with great views. Plenty of space for a group of 8 colleagues from all over the country. Table tennis, pool table and swimming pool gave us plenty of team bonding opportunities. Communication with AvantStay was awesome. We were able to get a mid-stay cleaning service with their concierge team. Checkin and Checkout was a breeze. My only issue was with the filtering system of the pool - I think it can use an upgrade.

Lovely Stay

The home was perfect, and met our every need! The youth group we brought completely loved it! We stay for 6 days. The only recommendation that I'd offer is for pest services to come out more frequently, perhaps. Saw quite a bit of unwanted visitors, more so in the casita because it's group level. Thank you for a lovely experience in your beautiful home.

Family Reunion

The house was perfect! The dining room was able to accommodate us to all seat down and eat! The kitchen was great for setting up a buffet line. The children and adults enjoyed the pool. We all enjoyed the ping pong, pool, and shuffleboard. It worked very well for our family gathering. Our first host cancelled on us and we were very lucky to have found a place that would hold our family on short notice! Thank You!

The home was great, location, rooms, except not really enough bathrooms for 8 men. The down stairs room by the pool had a really bad smell. I would have them clean and air that room out. There was no Kleenex in the house so we used toilet paper. Not the best.

Loved our experience

We would rate this beautiful home as a 9. Beautiful views of Camelback Mountain. The beds were very comfortable, spacious bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms. The master bedroom is incredible and en-suite bath is huge. We had 24 family members spend Thanksgiving together. Thanksgiving dinner was catered and the table was perfect for our large group. Ping pong table and shuffle board were a hit. Casita was nice but it had an Oder to it. The kitchen was amazing with 2 sinks & huge island. Gas fireplaces were beautiful throughout the house and fire pit outside was awesome. Everyone loved the house and its amenities.

Nothing short of perfect!

This property was absolutely amazing!! We decided to host a last minute intimate wedding with 30 people complete with a personal chef and I couldn’t have imagined our day any better! This was a bit of a staycation for us and the house was gorgeous and spacious enough to sleep 12 adults easily with 2 young children. The space was perfect for a long, family-style dinner table and the chef had an ample amount of room to prepare our meal. The views were stunning and the home left us feeling relaxed and refreshed. We had paid to have the pool heated though after arriving, we noticed that it was not heated. The hosts were very responsive and quickly refunded us for this extra charge since we were told that the pool at this house does not have a heater. One of the bathrooms was out of service as listed in the description but this was not an issue as there were many other bathrooms to share. The AC in the house was perfect. There was a previous recent review stating that some rooms felt hot so we were a little nervous. We didn’t have any issues with temperature, and the master bedroom even has its own thermostat! The hallway toilet seat was only attached on one side, causing a little mishap of falling off with one of our family members. The hosts were very responsive and ready to send out a maintenance tech immediately. 100% recommend this house and this company! We definitely didn’t want to leave.

Beautiful Spot for a Large Group

The house was super clean, the views were epic, and the kitchen was perfect for setting up large meals for our group of 18 ladies. The bathroom situation was a bit challenging for showers/toilets for the number of people we had. Their are 3 full bath's with showers/toilets and a half bath so with 18 ladies it was challenging at times. The A/C stopped working halfway through our stay, so not sure if it was something with the system or if it was just too hot outside to keep the space at 73 degrees F. Overall we loved our time at the house and I'd definitely go back, but maybe with a smaller sized group.

Beautiful property but multiple issues with property and communication

This was our first time booking a property through Avant Stay and we were quite disappointed as we were faced with multiple issues: 1. Communication about check-in time was inconsistent. I had requested an earlier check-in via a VRBO message and was told that an earlier check-in at 3pm would not be possible and that we had to check-in at 4pm. I was then sent the contract to sign which stated that my check-in time would be 3pm. I inquired about this discrepancy and was told my check in time was confirmed to be 4pm. We arrived at the property at 3pm to see if our code would be working by then and it did. It’s great that you provide multiple ways of communicating with your property managers (VRBO, app, email, text, etc.) but it would be nice if they all had consistent information. 2. One of the en-suite bathrooms (bath 7) was locked and inaccessible. We sent a message via text and was told that the bathroom is not operational and that they could not unlock this bathroom. Why weren’t we informed that this was inaccessible if you were aware ahead of time that we would not be able to use this bathroom? 3. The pool waterfall was not working. We sent a text message inquiring about this and were told that the property does not include a waterfall. The photos of this property clearly show a pool waterfall. Again, it would be great if your property managers were familiar with the property. 4. The air conditioning in a few of the rooms did not work. Our guests were complaining that no air was coming out of the vents and were very uncomfortable at night. 5. The Wi-Fi and backup Wi-Fi did not work. 6. There was only one hair dryer in the house which had to be shared by 18 people. We were very excited to stay at this property but ended up being quite disappointed for the price that we paid.

Great Stay

The property is absolutely amazing! Very spacious and accommodated our large group. There were a few minor issues, like the water on the fridge not working and some issues with the internet, but the host was very responsive throughout our stay to help us troubleshoot. Overall a beautiful place to gather with a large group!

Stunning Property

This house is everything the pictures show and more. The 180* views of the mountains were breathtaking especially during sunrise (rises over Camelback) and sunset (Camelback looks fluorescent). We had max occupancy for a family event and there was ample room for everybody including table seatings. We had some minor issues with house and booking but Avant Stay was quick to try to resolve and received all recommendations for improvements graciously. Even with these minor issues our event was extremely memorable and we all dream of returning again! You will not be disappointed by this property.

Avant is the best and house was the nicest I've rented on Air B&B / VRBO!

Management company took the time to reach out after booking to ask if there was anything they could help with in terms of finding things to do for our group as well as calling me the day of with a few very minor things that required fixing that due to timing they weren't able to fix. We most likely wouldn't have even noticed if they reached out so I really appreciated the honesty! I also wasn't able to figure out the wifi around dinner time Friday night and management responded in less than a minute with the password. We had a group of 28 (full capacity) and it felt very spacious even with all of us in the kitchen / living room and everyone had a comfortable spot to sleep (all in beds, some required sharing but beds were big enough to be comfortable and I was very impressed with the mattress quality. I plan to book this house again in the future and will always look first to rent from Avantstay when booking accommodations. Thanks team, appreciate you guys!

Great spot for families - but had some HVAC issues

Overall the property was great - nice layout for large families. They also supplied more than adequate dishes and cooking utensils to make it easy for us to enjoy eating "at home". The pool was nice and the separate casita works well for someone who wants a little more privacy from the group. We loved the large dining tables inside and out and the various seating areas for conversation or watching tv. It was very nice of them to have fresh flowers in the house and they left us some snack pouches and books for the kids. We pre-ordered groceries to stock the kitchen and that worked well so that we didn't immediately have to run out to the store and buy everything. The only downside is that as we arrived HVAC (air conditioning) techs were leaving - but assured us that the system was now working well. As it turns out - the house is on 3 separate systems and one of them was not working well. 2-3 of the bedrooms got very warm and had very little air circulation. We called the local manager and he assured us a tech would come out. We called on Tuesday and on Thursday the tech finally did and had to do quite a bit of work to improve it's efficiency. In the end it did improve (though still wasn't working as well as the rest of the house).

Great family vacation

The actual Vrbo property was great for our entire family ... newly remodeled in a very contemporary manner. Our family consisted of three generations (8 adults and 8 grandkids) so we needed something for everyone. We loved the large, open-plan home, the outdoor dining, fire pit and especially the pool and large grassy yard. The "welcome" kit that we received from AvantStay was a nice touch and they provided several new items for the pool (water volleyball, "floatiess", noodles) and several yard games (badminton, Boche ball and more). The location is great ... only a mile from Camelback Mountain and close to the Scottsdale fashion center. Because of a mix-up by Vrbo and AvantStay, the property was rented without knowledge that the Casita and one full bedroom/bath would unavailable during our stay (on-going construction was not completed prior to our arrival). In spite of AvantStay / Vrbo's error in this regard, AvantStay did everything in their power to rectify the situation. Once construction is completed so the entire house is available, we definitely would go back to this property.

We spent a lot of money and a lot of planning to use every bit of the space at this house for a work event. Including needing two kitchens, 9 bedrooms, two living rooms etc. We showed up with very minimal check in instructions, to learn that half of the house was un-useable and under construction. At this point, I had already flown in 16 people from all over the country. The property management company was difficult to reach at first- I waited on hold for almost an hour. The first person I spoke to had no idea what was going on and had to reach out to a local rep. Finally we were told the house was under construction. This really messed up our entire week unfortunately. We did the best we could with it, and receive a bare minimum reimbursement for the hotel rooms we needed to book to accommodate our group. Do not book this property unless you confirm it is not under construction.
