Sadly, like most companies in this day and age, customer service with Vrbo, and RealJoy are nonexistent. We had groceries that were ruined, as we were locked out of our unit for over an hour, and have not been compensated for. There was a dead cockroach in the unit, it is still in the floor, has been covered with a paper towel, and will remain there for the next renters to enjoy. There were disgusting stained bedding in the unit. I had to go to Walmart to purchase bedding, which I also have not been compensated for. As far as closet space is concerned in the unit, the owner has two closets locked for his personal belongings. The closet that is available has the owner’s clutter housed there as well, ranging from paint cans, to coffee makers, and a vacuum that is stacked from top to bottom, which equates to zero closet space to hang your personal belongings. The guest room shower is too short for a full size adult to utilize. The minuscule refrigerator had a broken ice maker. I expressed these issues to RealJoy, and Vrbo, and requested a refund, so that we could book a clean, functional unit. I thought Vrbo would have my back and help resolve these problems, but they stated that they were minor issues. This isn’t even touching on the fact that my vacation time with my family was interrupted having to deal with these ridiculous issues, which there is no compensating for. Definitely a lesson learned, thankfully I have choices, and I will not be using either aforementioned companies in the future,
