I really wanted to like this hotel, but unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. One key takeaway from this trip is not to be swayed by the hotel’s name alone. Since this was a Courtyard by Marriott, we assumed a certain level of quality and comfort, but it fell short in several ways.
First, we encountered a hygiene issue. One of the towels we used the previous day was left in the room by housekeeping, they didn’t remove a dirty one.
The first night, the bathroom lock didn’t work, and by the second night, the door wouldn’t even stay shut.
Additionally, the bathroom has no exhaust fan, so unpleasant odors linger. The condition of the bathroom overall felt neglected and didn’t resemble the photos shown online.
Another inconvenience was, no hairdryer in the room. I had to decide between going to bed with dirty, greasy hair or risking getting sick by sleeping with wet hair in the cold Orlando weather. I chose to skip washing my hair.
I contacted Expedia’s customer service to request a refund. However, the reservation was made with the “pay at the hotel” option, so I needed to handle it directly with the hotel.
A few other points to consider: Parking is $25 per night, which feels unnecessary, other nearby hotels offer free parking without any issues. They charge $20 per person for breakfast.
Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it. I wish I could get a refund. If you’re booking in the area, I’d recommend looking at other options
