Modern farmhouse, fully equipped and perfect for our multi-family stay. We loved the open dining and living room concept with cozy leather couches. Master suite on the main floor with rest of bedrooms upstairs. Stocked coffee bar was a great bonus. Loved the fire pit and star gazing. Quiet spot. Undoubtedly we will stay here again.

Our stay was amazing! The host was kind and quick to respond. The home was a mix of old farmhouse and modern luxury. The decor and atmosphere of the home were calming and restful, exactly what we were looking for!

Such a cute house with style! We really enjoyed our stay! The beds were different than we thought going in, but it ended up being fine for us. We will definitely keep this on the go back to list!

That wasn't good.

Ants all over the kitchen counter, took two days to get some ant spray, first response was to not leave food out..... Fire pit in picture looks nice, but the one at the residence is overgrown with weeds and seating is rotten wood. Grill wasn't clean, half the burners worked and was low on gas.... we were told we could get more gas. I'm very understanding but it was the urgency to address the issues by the owner that wasn't acceptable.

Windrock trip.

Property worked out perfect. 8 people slept comfortably for one of our yearly windrock trips. House was very well accommodated with all the essentials you need for your home away. Yard was plenty big enough for 4 trucks and trailers Would highly recommend. 10-10

Great place to stay if you're doing an experiment at ORNL

I stayed in this house with my research group, and it was a great location and allows ready access to both the east and west gates of ORNL. If you're visiting to perform an experiment at the lab, this is a great place to stay with a small/medium group.

We had a wonderful stay at The Oak for a family reunion nearby. There was so much to do around. Very cozy atmosphere and the kids loved it! Will definitely stay again when we come back.

Beautiful and welcoming home!

The Oak is a beautifully restored home that was welcoming and inviting. We had 7 adults on our trip to SXS at Windrock and this place was perfect. The kitchen was stocked for our cooking needs and the living room had plenty of space for our group. We enjoyed the front porch during sunset and coffee time. We would definitely go back. Shawn was always available if needed. Check in and out was a piece of cake! Definitely recommend The Oak!

Fishing Tournament Travels

This property was great for our stay! About a 25 min drive to our take off spot at Watts Bar. The property was very clean. The outside area accommodated our 3 trucks and boats. The owner was very attentive to our needs when we had a slight electrical issue with charging the boats but he helped us work through everything! Great quiet neighborhood except for maybe the screech owl that sent shivers down our spine…haha

Incredibly Great Place

This property is a gem! The property is private but within a short drive to restaurants and outdoor activities. The house is a wonderfully remodeled 1905 farmhouse- with all the charm and none of the outdated features. Shawn is the consummate host as evidenced by the little touches throughout the house. Well decorated without being overdone leaving plenty of space for our family to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and a killer coffee station. Although we didn't get a chance to enjoy the firepit, we appreciated the option of having it available. Thank you, Shawn, for sharing your very cool place with us.

Son's birthday

My husband and I took our son and his hos friends to trail at wind Rock, great time and very comfortable stay. Just had trouble with the remotes to TVs, weren't with the correct TVs and low batteries 😳
