Let's start with the good.
Location - Right off of I44. Easily accessible.
Neighborhood - Older neighborhood. Don't expect spotless McMansions lining the street. Quiet, never saw anything shady...but if you roll up at night, don't be alarmed that a couple of neighbors have bars on their windows. We felt saf the whole time.
House -
2 bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. The loft was a little "creepy" for the younger kids to stay in, but the living room has plenty of space to set up an air mattress.
1 bathroom - the house was built in 1908...so expect an older bathroom. Nothing wrong with it, but you do have to duck to rinse your head in the shower.
Kitchen - FANTASTIC. Fully updated, nice appliances.
Climate control - When we visited, the weather was 82 degrees with high humidity. The AC struggled during the heat of the day. It did cool off at night. Use the portable AC and fans to help keep things cool through the house.
Back yard - fenced in, with a nice deck to sit outside in the back.
Owner - Great communication! Sent a late night text, and got a quick response with help. Also, shared the history of the house which was pretty interesting.
Overall, a good experience!
