The location is great, especially if you are interested to explore Downtown Oaxaca and the amazing food market "20 de Noviembre". The hotel is basic, and it has everything needed for a stay. However, the bed and the pillow were HORRIBLE. There is a famous Mexican song called "the stone bed", I believe the author of this song, found his inspiration from the bed at Hotel Santa Rosa.

Oaxaca central hitel

Santa Rosa has a great location, just off the Zocalo and close to everything in the historic center. Only drawbacks is spotty internet with outdated security and the current lack of any food service, even for breakfast or a cup of coffee.
