Accommodating Host
We were somewhat disappointed by the accommodations as the kitchen facilities were lacking, there was no hot water as stated in the property details and the bed was somewhat hard….however we made the best of our stay as we weren’t in the room a lot. Really…hot water (lack of it) was not an issue as the water was warm enough that it felt good to have a shower. Our host….Teresa did not realize that hot water was not running into the Casita. She has made arrangements to have this rectified. We did not use the pool or the hot tub as the motor Is pooched so it is currently not running warm. The beaches are close by and are pretty amazing. Teresa provided us with chairs, towels, a cooler bag with ice packs (offered a big cooler) and snorkel gear to use at the local beaches. Boca Catalina was our favourite beach in Noord with fantastic. Snorkelling. Arashi beach is beautiful as well but a little rougher waters and a few more people using it. It’s a little distance to walk to the beaches but definitely doable if so inclined. We rented a car for the week. We highly recommend renting a vehicle if you are going to stay here. Teresa welcomed us into her home and let us use her fridge as the bar fridge in the room was too small to accommodate all our food. We also had use of the bar-b-que and patio table. Teresa was a wonderful host going above and beyond to make our stay more comfortable. She is a sweetheart. As much as we hate to write a somewhat negative review about a few of the things…we felt we should so that the next renters know what to expect when staying here.
