The entire experience at the hotel was not great. I arrived early in the morning around 9am, and the man at the front desk had very little interest in helping me in any way. I acknowledged I was early and asked if there was a chance I could get a room earlier than the 3pm check in. He said he couldn't promise anything (understandable) and told me I'd get a text. He didn't even bother to proactively tell me where I could stow my bags or if there was a bathroom I could use. I had to ask and it felt like I was annoying him by asking.At about 1pm, when I hadn't received a text, I went back to the hotel and asked. The same person looked around and said no, nothing was ready. I, again, asked if there was anything he could do and he basically shrugged. So I went and sat in the lobby and for the next hour, I noticed a lot of people checking in and being given room keys. I asked again at 2:15pm and he told me rooms are pre-assigned and they simply don't reassign them. I felt like I had to beg and plead and he begrudgingly told me he'd see if he could move something. He did. And I was able to check in. I want to acknowledge that I am fully aware that I arrived early and I did not expect to be given a room at 9. But clearly, they had rooms available at 1 and later, so why not try to actually accommodate a guest?The room itself was in terrible shape with cracks in the ceiling and torn carpeting. Just wouldn't recommend to anyone.
