This was all that AND more. The cats are amazing, the house is amazing, I couldn’t be happier. I was traveling alone and it was very safe and peaceful. Stunning. Free water!

Great property, but it is what it is, and if you are OK with that, you will have a great time. It’s got charm, it’s got history, and the AC suprisingly keeps up with face melting heat. But it is an OLD building and with that comes some lack of modern amenities that people feel entitled to. Personally I loved the place, would absolutely stay there again, and loved being 1 block away from the action. Far enough away from quiet, but you are RIGHT there when you want to be.

The Olivier House was a wonderful experience. With centuries old decor, world tiniest elevator, creepy ghosty histroy story, charming indoor/outdoor vibe, refreshing clean pool, and sweet lovable cats living as full tenants. It is only 1 min from noisy loud Boubin Street but you cannot hear all that noise. The parlor room makes you feel like you have walk right into your own home because its that comfortable. I highly recommend this wonderful place. It has that old world Louisiana charm that I was hoping to experience. And I did and much more. I loved exploring every nook and cranny of the place.
Don't look too close, something might look up..lol
That pool was refreshing after a long day of walking in the heat.

We had the most amazing time! Everyone that worked the desk was super friendly and helpful. Not all of our luggage made it on the plane so we were still waiting for one suitcase to arrive - which it finally did 24 hours later. Francis (who loves to the play the guitar and feed the cats on the weekends) let me borrow a phone charger for the day and I returned the next night when he would be coming in. Not sure of his name, but it was Sunday morning and he suggested Wakin’ Bacon for breakfast. I had the egg whites w shrimp and it was delicious. We even went back the next morning. Their sour dough bread was delicious and I wish I had bought the starter kit they had available so I could have brought it home with me. Olivier House Hotel has so much charm. We loved our room - we stayed in 213 and it had a small balcony. The air conditioning worked so well! It was hot and humid while in New Orleans - 90 degrees- and it was great to come back to our cool room and relax before heading out again. Our bed was soooooooo comfortable and we slept so good. This was the first time my husband had ever been to New Orleans and we can’t wait to go back. I have stayed at numerous other places - but never again. We will only stay at Olivier House Hotel and we have already started talking about going back in the fall!

The hotel was pretty quiet for being close to Bourbon Street, in the heart of things. We found the staff extremely accommodating and helpful. Our room (Petite Loft 2) had a lot of room, but needs a new dresser, as the drawers don't all work. Overall, we found the hotel quirky and charming.

Very lovely old hotel with wonderful front desk staff, funky old NOLA surroundings and well located in the FQ. Loved the private courtyards and pool. As a single woman traveling I felt very safe. The hotel itself is a little tired …. But really my only complaint was the old shower in the bathroom, didn’t work well, unable to switch from shower to bath and drain did not close. Overall a lovely stay.

The Olivier House Hotel is very beautiful. On the inside it’s very cute I loved the decor and the vibes, my room was also cute it had its own little touch of vintage decor as well. They also had a few cats that I assume live there it made me love the place more. Definitely was a stay to remember and they had complimentary tea and coffee and cookies too !!
