This property looks great in the pictures, but when you see it up close it is a different story.
1. The floors are warped and uneven, so much of the tile flooring is cracked and some broken pieces are even loose and sharp (you could cut your foot on the broken tile near the washer and dryer if not careful).
2. There are crooked cabinet doors in the kitchen and the large cabinet under the island across from the refrigerator is missing all of the shelves.
3. Nearly all the headboards and footboards of the beds were cracked, chipped, or broken; and the built-in shelves on the bed frames were improperly installed so that they did not open straight or close all the way.
4. The siding of the jacuzzi tub in the master bath was loose and coming off in multiple places.
5. The walls in the other bedrooms were visibly dirty with black smudges and what appeared to be stains from water running down the walls.
6. The worst part of our experience was when it rained, one of the exterior walls filled up with water and poured into 2 of the bedrooms through the frames of the windows. We placed several towels on the window sills and floor and even held towels up at the top of the windows for 2 hours until the rain and leaking had stopped. The outlets in these rooms also did not work (I assume from all the water in the walls).
I called the property management company, Hosteeva, to alert them of our water situation and express my dissatisfaction. I was told a maintenance team would be dispatched asap and they would call or text me. I was never contacted by any maintenance person for the remainder of our stay. Finally, when we cleaned up to vacate and leave the next day, the cleaning crew showed up 20 minutes early and let themselves into our rental without asking. I was still in the process of removing our things from the rental and did not feel comfortable with 2 men going through the rooms before we were done removing our property. 20 minutes may not seem significant, but that is not the point. Hotel maids do not come into your room and start stripping the beds before your checkout time and especially if you are still occupying the room. This is the worst experience I have ever had on a vacation.
