We loved staying here! The house is in the mountains and felt secluded and private. As a heads up, there is a bit of a trek up a gravel road to the house, so some cars might struggle, but our cars handled it fine. The house had ample space that very comfortably accommodated our group of three couples. We cooked most of our meals in the spacious kitchen + dining room, and also enjoyed s'mores by the fire pit one night.
One of the highlights of this property is its perfect blend of seclusion and accessibility. Tucked away in the mountains, it offers a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Despite its secluded location, the house is conveniently located within reach of various attractions. New Market is the closest downtown (~15 min), but we were also within driving distance of Shenandoah (~60 minutes to the park entrance) as well as Harrisonburg and Luray (~30 minutes each).
The house had four bedrooms: two suites (with bathtubs and an attached shower hose) and two additional bedrooms (one with a daybed) with a shared bathroom with a full shower. There is plenty of common areas as well, with a large kitchen/dining/sitting area, a living room, and a large porch. The hosts provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, towels, and linens. They also had a shelf with books, games, and jigsaw puzzles, which we took advantage of! There is AC as well, which we definitely took advantage of.
