Checked in, room smelled like smoke just like the whole hotel. Had to change rooms since amenities in the room were missing. Then the next room was missing some other things, called front desk. I was told it would be a few minutes but it never came all night. Expected better from a Marriott but was the worst Courtyard we’ve experienced. Parking isn’t free, even the coffee at the lobby isn’t. Asked for a razor, I was told I could buy from the market. Nothing any other hotel would include in their rates is included. Front desk was empty at times, definitely not enough staff. Won’t be back.

I have stayed at this hotel countless times and it continues to be the best in Waterbury. While a bit dated and in need of some updating, it is clean and comfortable. Being in the middle of the city, street noise can sometimes be an issue, but overall it is quiet. The best part of this hotel is the staff. The front desk staff is very helpful, and the cafe staff are always friendly. Within walking distance are some of Waterbury's architectural landmarks which I always enjoy seeing. Great pizza at Dominick & Pia is a five minute walk away.

I loved the view from the 9th floor, the room was clean and spacious, the staff was genuine and accommodating, and if you can buy whatever you might have forgotten to pack in the downstairs hotel store .
