This rental is quaint and nicely decorated, however it leaves a lot to be desired. As mentioned in the listing, it's a first floor apartment with a unit upstairs, but given the age of this building you hear absolutely EVERYTHING the upstairs tenant does. Additonally, housekeeping apparently operates out of the garage, which is right next to the bedroom so you hear all of that noise as well. Also, when we arrived they were doing outside maintenance on the house which was quite disruptive. The constant noise was so disruptive that we left a night early.

Shaun was very helpful and provided us information about restaurants and activities. And the location of his property was within walking distance of restaurants and shops. We highly recommend the Caption Daniel Packer Inne for dining and the Argis for sailing. We really enjoyed our comfy stay at Shaun’s property. Plus, he provided snacks for our stay.

Intention of this place meant well. We felt safe and it was clean. Bed was super comfortable. The only downsides were the lack of AC that reached the bedroom and the dog smell from maybe earlier guests? There were many air purifiers for the pets but when we walked in that’s all we could smell. But host was kind and communicative. He left snacks and some waters for us. Again- place is very cute and a great location.

Cozy place in a great location!

I took a couple of days' R&R in Mystic and my stay at Shaun's apartment was great! It's cozy but makes the most of the space: there's a wall desk that pulls down, a small outside sitting area, and lots of closet space. Shaun also provided a bowl of snacks and even milk in the fridge for my tea! The location is also great, close to lots of attractions but with a nice quiet neighborhood for morning walks. Shaun was always available and accommodating. I really enjoyed my stay, thanks!

Cozy weekend getaway

Perfect weekend getaway for my girlfriend and me. Walking distance to downtown on a quiet street. Host was very responsive and even left snacks! We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful experience

My husband and I came for our 10th wedding anniversary and we were greeted in the apartment with an anniversary card and present. I’m also a celiac and they provided a bunch of gluten free snacks. The apartment was clean and walking distance to restaurants and shopping. We would highly recommend to all!

Great location

It is a cute, but tiny apartment. Very short walk to "downtown" Mystic and the Seaport. There is another apartment above it so at times you'll hear voices and footsteps. The heat hadn't been turned on, so the 1st nite was chilly but the property manager quickly addressed that.

Excellent location & great host

We loved this spot! It felt like our home away from home during our time in Mystic. The property is very close to many of the tourist spots as well as downtown Mystic. Shaun was a wonderful host and the place was clean & comfortable. The only thing I would point out is that the bathroom is only accessible through the bedroom. Not a problem for me because I was traveling with my sister so there was no awkwardness going through the bedroom to access it but may be something to consider for some folks. Overall a great stay that we would highly recommend :)

Lovely apartment in Mystic

We loved the location as it was very walkable into town. The property has everything you could need and the kitchen was well equipped. The host was very helpful with check in and out times. I would stay here again.

GREAT location, a very short walk to downtown and easy to find, not too far off the highway. The accommodations were average for us, which was fine because we weren't there all that much other than to sleep and cleanup before going out for meals and sightseeing. The ceiling tiles in the accommodation are mostly all warped and in need of replacement/alignment. Also, when trying to get some air in the place by opening a few windows it was quite noticeable that there were dead bugs/dirt inside the window areas that had collected and hadn't been cleaned in a while. Otherwise it was great for what it was, only other item would be that the walls (especially in the bedroom) are in dire need of some artwork, even just a few pictures (they are almost nonexistent). We did hangout the last night before we left, the TV room table for the couch area was a small round table much taller than the seating area, would have suited much better to just have a lower rectangular coffee table to use instead. Good communication by the owner on check-in and using the amenities, assuming other than locking up there wasn't anything about what to do for checkout? If you're just looking for a small place to hang your hat while you're traveling around the area, it's great, but a few minor improvements would go a long way, That said we would return for a night or so...

Perfect location to downtown Mystic Seaport

I stayed here with a friend for 2 nites. Quick friends weekend away. It was in the perfect location for walking to most things downtown, etc. The place is small, just so you're aware, but it is cute and clean and in the perfect location for walking to most things. It has one bedroom with a queen-size bed and then the sofa pulls out into a bed. The kitchen was cute and well stocked. They provide coffee and snacks which was a very nice touch. It's always nice to be able to wake up in the morning and have a cup of coffee before setting off for your day. It has a nice big smart tv, which was also a very nice touch. We're not "partiers", so when we're done with whatever we were doing during the day and having dinner somewhere (lots of choices), you're able to come back, relax and find something to watch on tv. I would recommend this place to anyone. One thing of note, while you could squeeze 4 people into this place it would be tight. The sofa, while it does become a bed, would not comfortably sleep 2 people. It is the perfect size for 2 people though.

Mystic Magic

The apartment was clean, and cozy and had very nice amenities. We were there for an anniversary getaway and our hosts very kindly left us a card and some small gifts which was very thoughtful. The location was within walking distance of the town center and not far from the Seaport and Aquarium. Derek, the property manager was very nice and consistently asked if there was anything we needed. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this location for couples or a small family.
