The location was convenient for attending a family wedding at Pawleys Plantation, but unfortunately the condo itself was very disappointing and did not match expectations based on the photos. The kitchen and bathroom supplies were extremely minimal. There was no hand soap or dish soap in the kitchen, and only one powder dishwasher packet was provided. In the bathrooms, there was only a tiny bar of soap and a very small shampoo/conditioner combo, both smaller than typical travel-size items, and no hand soap at all. There was also no hair dryer available, so guests should plan to bring their own.The overall condition of the condo needs significant attention. All of the bedrooms appear to need new carpet, the bar stools are peeling, and the tile in all of the bathrooms needs to be replaced. The grout was dirty, and the showers and tubs did not feel clean. There was also unfinished towel bar mounting hardware left on the all of the bathroom walls, which added to the lack of upkeep.It was also disappointing that only the primary bedroom had both a ceiling fan and a TV. We also found a half-dead cockroach in the kitchen.Most concerning of all was the front door lock. We believed the door was locked when leaving, but later discovered that it was not secure. That is a serious safety issue and completely unacceptable, especially if you are traveling with your fur-bablies.
