The pool at this place is the highlight, with ample outdoor seating at poolside and underneath the porch overhang. There are two large umbrellas that can be moved around. The same goes for the loungers and other chairs. The porch seating is super comfortable and some of us used the long picnic tables for games. Also, a breeze was common and while we were worried about the early-August heat, it wasn’t a problem. The shade didn’t hit the porch seating until around 2pm and 90 minutes later, the edges of the pool were also in the shadows. Meanwhile, the pool water was so comfortable, well—let’s just say, August here is fine! The sunsets and star-gazing were just amazing.
Indoors, the bedrooms were mostly spacious—in some cases, obscenely so—and clean. There were 13 of us and while one guest had to settle for the trundle bed (actually located in a small room connected to another bedroom, so that you want some familiarity between those sharing those two spaces), we had lots of room to spread out. The living room is large with comfortable seating. There’s also a large dinning room table, a kitchen table and some barstools.
You’ll find that the kitchen cabinets are a little worn, but there are lots of countertops and 2 dishwashers! Plenty of plates/glasses.
Field Trip is a great host. They use an app for entry instructions, which is handy.
