I felt it's the property was very clean, and it was easy for me to get back-and-forth from the train station. However, I also felt that it wasn't entirely safe at the location.

Stayed for 3 nights in late June 2025. Positives: Relatively inexpensive. Well placed for centre of city. Clean white bedsheets - thank you. Negatives: My visit coincided with the Francos festival. There was very loud street music every night until late. On the last night it continued to 2am. The room's sound insulation was non-existent. For me this was really bad, even my silicone earplugs couldn't stop the noise. There were stairs only, no elevator – this was not a problem for me but might be for others. Stair carpets were badly worn and dirty. My room black out curtains were damaged so that light entered room at 0530. Room air con worked effectively but was very noisy, I switched it off and just used the fan. The nearest shower had 3 lights but only 1 worked and that light was so weak that, when I first arrived, I showered almost in darkness. The room sink was partly blocked and very slow to discharge. On my third night I got about 6 insect bites on my face. Breakfast was basic but, at this price, acceptable. Staff: three different young ladies at reception were helpful.

The room was ok once I’d changed to a room with private bathroom. First room wasn’t great. Kitchen area for “breakfast” was a mess. Location is good apart from noise outside hotel at night.

Very terrible experience, couldn't even sleep for one night. The linens are not clean and with the noise traveling from neighbours walking on the loose wood floor you can't even sleep.

I loved the high ceilings, & classic architecture. A very simple layout-bed, sink, & cabinet were all that I needed. Separate bath & showers weren't busy when I needed to use them.

did not match photos, smelt awful. didn’t seem very secure. we checked out early due to proximity of needed amenities and feeling of being unsafe/unclean. they did not honour the refund policy listed online that was pay for first night + taxes/fees and refund other nights back (as long as cancelled on first day, which we did. within the first 30 minutes actually). front desk staff was nice though

This place is not clean at all. Only 2 toilets per floor, with 0 privacy. The noise (squeak) when you walk on the floor is exactly what you hear in horror movies. The door makes the same noiie, and it doesn't help that it is hard to unlock. This place is the worst (and I had some horrible experiences in the past). The neighborhood is full of homeless people who sleep all over the place in front of the hotel, and the noise continues until 4 am. If you have some respect for yourself, get a different hotel! I wish I went through all the reviews before booking :(

Next to a sex shop. No lift due old building. Very noisy outside also staff handover at 4 am equally loud. More like a hostel than a hotel. Using Canadian F1 as a chance to over charge.

You get what you pay for. Room was nice but dimly lit as two bulbs were blown. AC was complicated to run but worked great. Shared washroom like a hostel. No soap or towels there. You must bring from your room. Of the two washrooms on level three one was never available and the other had burnt out lights and the toilet seat came off easily from the toilet. Breakfast was apples, no name breads, cereal and that’s about it. Not sure why other reviewers raved about the breakfast. I mean this place is basically one up from a hostel. The location is right downtown so be prepared for some nearby sex shops and even a strip bar. On the other hand everything is right outside the door for dining, metro, the jazz festival and so on. It’s cool to have a pedestrian only area right out front too. All in all I give it average rating. Don’t stay here if you can’t handle stairs or want convenient parking.

The property has a great location. It's right next to China Town and also about 10 min walk to Central station and downtown Montreal. Room was okay. Bed was cozy. Not the property's fault but the walls are paper thin someone next to our room was having an argument overnight and woke everyone up. So have earplugs! When I booked I didn't know the bathrooms were shared (my bad) and then the ones not shared got taken up. But My only concerns with the property is the cleanliness of it, especially the shared bathrooms. And also the number of shared bathrooms -if there were 4 for 10 rooms that would be great but there was only 2. Also no soap in the shared bathrooms so it was unhygienic for me. However the room was spacious and had a sink so thank God I didn't have to go to bathroom too much. The free breakfast was okay. Breakfast wasn't as bad as the reviews. But they don't have eggs and bacon, it's quite bread, butter, coffee, juice and cereal. Maybe bananas and apple. Still filling! Overall for 1 night it wasn't too bad. We were out and about most of our stay.

I have no idea the washroom will be in sharing. And if its sharing then its staff duty to check the washroom if they are clean or not. All the time the washroom so duty. For drinking water we have to go down to main floor so many stairs. I would not recommend to people with knee problems or old people. No fan in room and Ac is not working properly. Its too hot in the room.
