Across the street is the wharf and Portola meeting center. It’s a pretty easy Cannery Ros down the bike path nearby. The hotel is older and showing age, but rooms were spacious, very comfortable, well laid ou, and breakfast was really good. Check your reservations. They do add quite a few extra charges, including parking to it.

Nice property right across from convention center and pier. Great breakfast area and food. Plenty of places to eat in the area and things to do. Hotels is older and needs some remodeling. No A/C Little high on the price for the quality of the hotel.

Outdated and dingy. Room smelled very musty we had to leave the deck door open for a long time to air it out during both days. You had to keep messing with the TV connections to get it to work. It looks like they throw paint on top of paint. Could feel springs in sofa couch. Stayed on the 2nd floor and could hear walking. I wouldn’t stay here again. I’m not sure how others rated this 8/10, 9/10, or 10/10. I was really disappointed considering the price I paid. Great location, good breakfast and pet friendly.

This hotel is definitely showing its age in some areas. For the price, we wished things would’ve been in better condition. The flooring in the hallway leading to our room is in need of repair and the ice machine on the second floor wasn’t working. We were on the bottom floor and could hear people walking in the room above us. These are all minor inconveniences for us and some things are easier addressed than others. We did appreciate the kind staff and easy check in process. The fireplace was great for relaxing after long days of sight seeing. The complimentary breakfast serves its purpose. Overall it was a nice stay. I think we would consider other options for a future visit. There are some more modern hotels that would be comparable cost wise.

Unfortunately, the cleanliness of this property has gone downhill quite a bit. I have stayed here numerous times and LOVE the location, the set-up of the rooms & proximity to the beach & walking path, but the rooms are not cleaned or maintained very well. The shower specifically was full of mold & mildew, and had small little worms crawling out of the cracks when the water was turned on. If we were staying longer I would have requested a room change, but it was late & we were already unpacked. In addition the mini-fridge was not very cold, & the knob was broken, so couldn’t turn it down & spider webs on the patio area. Otherwise, staff is very kind & helpful. I will stay here again, but def going to inspect room carefully before settling in. When booking thru Expedia, it seems most places give you the crappy rooms :(
